Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
[Solved] Best open-source video editing software, in your opinion?
There are a lot of options out there, it turns-out.
I'm looking for something with a pretty nice Title adding / manipulating features, and half decent filters (re: stuff that won't just make the end product look like crap). I'm not interesting in doing fancy stuff with lighting or slow motion, and do not care if it can't do super-mega-giga-definition video.
I know this thread says [solved], but I really feel the need to push Kdenlive. Having used them both back-to-back a decent amount, Kdenlive comes out on top in virtually every respect.
Also, here is a pocast of a guy talking about the film production process and Linux: Podcast
There is also the matter of VLMC, the editor being put out by the VLC folks (sort of): VLMC. I haven't used it much though, so I can't personally vouch for it.
I'm going under the assumption that you're on linux, however. Outside of that, I couldn't say.
Again, solved but for Windows users, I was SHOCKED how good Windows Movie Maker was. I was able to edit together a good VBlog with nice transitions, music, credits, the whole 9.
