Meanwhile, on the "running a kabillion underworld trading missions trying to get the 'marauder's vest' schematic" front, I have the full set of Sentinel's gear (headgear, vest, leggings), but as for Marauders, I've only managed to get Leggings patterns (5 marauder's leggings). I feel like my companions have trailed off in their ability to gain schematics from running UT missions the past couple days.
It's weird!
Also, I had a blast helping guides get gear by running normal Ops last night. You all did great!

I just wanted to try it out, so I grabbed a cheap orange legacy belt for my Jedi Knight, sent it to my Sith Warrior, threw in one of those BoP level 50 armorings you buy with daily commendations, sent it back to my Jedi Knight, who sure enough, could equip the item.
I haven't tried it with tier stuff yet, since I didn't want to spend the money to rip them out before I even proved the theory

Nope, it just does that icon blink and quick recharge thing.
Although, thinking on the timing, my housemate may have been jiggering with the modem, because he's been meaning to replace it. I say because during my Sith warrior opening, a similar thing started happening so I logged out. Then I noticed the Internet not working at all, so he likely punked the modem so he could go get it replaced with a better one.

Also, they have officially fixed the bug which kept the Sith Inquisitor's class quest stuck on Hoth.

Is that bad for the game's health in the long haul? Will more people show up later? Will they merge some servers, 'cause some of them are sadly bereft of dudes, bros, and lady-dudes?
Today I finished Chapter 2, then got about 60k experience just talking to my teammates that had more questline stuff ready for me.
-- and I got the schematic for Marauder's headgear. Now if I can get the vest, I'll finally be able to stop running Level 2 Underworld Trading Quests non-stop, forever.
Compared to most other MMOs, TOR's retention rate is actually pretty high.
A lot of it is purely people who won't ever pay the monthly charge no matter what. They'll do it for the free 30 days and that's it.
Seems pretty good to me considering that's right after everybody's free trials expired, but what do I know, I'm not a stock market analyst

I'd imagine it's mostly all automated. Probably a list of servers being consolidated into other servers for the sake of balancing populations as best they can, I doubt there'd be giving players a choice since they'd rather make servers as faction balanced as possible.
LFG coming in 1.3 (which they've indicated won't be quite as big as 1.2 so they can get it out sooner, also not cross-server), dual spec "soon" (not in 1.3 but hopefully the patch after).

Right now they seem to be hoping server mergers won't have to happen and that they can fix underpopulation a bit with free character transfers off low population servers onto more populated ones when they bring out their character transfer service in early summer.

If only I were playing on The Fatman, then I'd be rolling in people to play with.
I don't really care if anybody's in the mid levels zones--I mean, nobody in your zone while you're grinding up levels happened all the time in WoW when I used to play. Black Vulkars' main problem seems to be the republic side is anemic as hell--the Imperial side seems reasonable populous.
I'm much more interested in the Empire
