And you can call it stupid all you like but if you say it was hard to understand to the point that you couldn't

    well.

he's just trying way too hard with it and it comes off as silly

like it's something that Batman might try as a rookie but then eventually develop a more confident, yet still menacing voice

but no, he still has it

yes, he has it, he always has had it, and you're still going to see the movie anyway, so please drop it and never bring it up again

this goes to everyone else on the internet.

anyway, that trailer was absolutely amazing. looking forward to the bane and batman fight so much.

Its just not that hard to understand. I'm not gonna touch whether its stupid cause I just don't care.

I just really wish people would stop bringing it up. Do we really have to do two pages of "man, this voice suck!" every time a trailer comes out? Did you think it would change?

    Moving on to something else.

I find it strange that people are saying that Bruce Wayne was more interesting then Batman in tDK.

Yeah. So saying that Bruce Wayne is more interesting then Batman is...

    Confusing.

I have never found bale's batvoice grating or hard to understand and I am confused by all the people that do

I never found him hard to understand. It's that it's too gravelly and the words slur to the point that he sounds intoxicated.

See, if you take Bale's Batman voice, lighten up on the growl and remove the slur, you get Haley's Rorschach. Which, in my opinion is how Batman should sound.

I'm not sure how it is confusing. Bale stands out to me more as Bruce Wayne than when he is in the Batman costume.

His take on the actual persona of Batman, behind the mask, just does not hold a fart to the performances of Ledger, Oldman, or Eckhart. They were just way better than Bale's Batman.

I felt that his delivery as Bruce Wayne was much more distinctive and memorable in of itself. The majority of the most memorable bits he had behind the mask were, to me, more memorable because of the other actors than because of him.

Agreed. Once again, the idiot public potentially ruins something great just because they can't be bothered to listen closely or accept that they aren't supposed to understand every single word he says.

That just seems like something of an artificial separation. I see him as much as Batman when he's not in costume as when he is.

Most of the really good stuff is when he's out of costume but that's because he only suits up for business. You know, action scenes. Though I will fight anybody about the awesomeness of "Swear to me" or Hockey pads.

I don't even get why you're talking about whether or not he's the same guy in and out of costume. It has nothing to do with my point.

    What they should've done

Instead of him trying to change his voice and someone maybe eventually figuring out who he is that way

He should've had an electronic device that turns his voice into that of another person's

it could be like that one episode of batman beyond where powers has a chip put into bruce's bandages to make him hear voices but the voices call him bruce and he calls himself "batman"

I won't disagree there but you don't get away with voice modulation in a huge film like the ones in the Batman series.

    Its a bad idea.

You are arguing that he delivers two different performances correct? One in the costume and one out?

Yes, I am indirectly suggesting that Bale presents two different performances, which is a very basic concept in a bigger argument that you continue to ignore because you wish to emphasize a pedantic detail.

I am arguing about the difference in the dynamics of Bruce Wayne in a suit, and Bruce Wayne in a Batman costume. Whether or not it is two performances, or two parts of a larger performance is not the god damned point. Jesus Christ. This is why I avoid D&D like the plague.
