This is a house in the hills above Hollywood, which you investigate later in the game, it's a fucking horrifying place. The worst part is (spoilered in case you don't want to know the secret of the house)

When you get to the basement, you fight a vampire of the clan, Tzimisce, who have the power to bend flesh to their will. That house is made of living flesh. Hence the ribs and bones sticking out of the walls. Worst part? That flesh is still sentinent, and in tremendous amounts of pain. Tzimisce, man.

Now for a new game. I just started Alan Wake up to see how it'd run. Almost flawless on max settings at 1680 x 1050 res. Some weird flashing of distant foliage occured but turning off ssao sorted it out. Beautiful game.

So gibbed made a tool to extract out the coalesced in the ME3 demo, anyone remember where to manually put the commands in coalesced for screenshot controls? I always used the automatic key binding tool in coalesced editor.

More Alan! I managed to fix the flickering trees through forcing Vsync and Triple Buffering, done the trick. Everything on max with no hit to the framerate. If anyone has issue withthe game,try that.

Pity about Alan Wake. Some great design elements there, but lame that it feels like something like 2/3 of the game is missing. Not even worth it at 30 bucks; maybe if it hits one of those 5-10 dollar Steam sales I could recommend it. I remember getting all excited from the promo material surrounding it, too.

does the hide hud commands actually remove everything this time? i have it set up on me2 with my numberpad set up almost as a camera like i did with the first game, but both hide hud commands don't hide the selection box, its ruining my screenshot taking and i cant find anything to disable it, apart from a texmod file that doesnt work.

I've been on a "classic games" kick for a while. A couple of days ago my 3d card died so I took it as a sign from God that I should finish all these classic games I'm playing before I get into any modern stuff. I'm mostly playing them in chronological order.





Level design in the '90s wasn't afraid of making levels that were something other than straight lines with a couple branching dead end paths. I miss that stuff

I'm going in chronological order, so I have to play Dark Forces first. Thankfully I already did and then I started playing Dark Forces II and now I'm on the final boss and deciding whether I want to move on to Mysteries of the Sith or go back and play Duke Nukem 3d and System Shock.
