Plot stuff i guess?
Spoiler:
2069: No longer governed by politicians, the developed world is divided up into regions controlled by mega-corporations known as syndicates. These syndicates have revolutionized how the consumer interacts with the digital world. Since the consumer requires a device to access the world's data and control technology, they can do this in the blink of an eye via neural chip implant.
Civilians flocked to be "Chip'd" and enjoy all that their selected syndicate has to offer: housing, medical, banking, insurance, education, entertainment and jobs. One complete package. One complete lifestyle. In return, the syndicates gained unprecedented insights, and control, over the individual and their behavior. With little government oversight, business has become war. The syndicates will stop at nothing for ultimate market dominance.
At the first line of this war are the agents, the syndicate's bio-engineered and chip-augmented enforcers. They can breach anything in the wired dataverse, including their enemies, their weapons and the environment that surrounds them, making them the most efficient and deadly technological weapons in the world. Take on the role of Miles Kilo, EuroCorp's latest prototype agent, and embark on a brutal action adventure of corruption and revenge
It's a fucking FPS. It looks okay, you should come play the demo with me, it is less then a gig.
Yeah, Brink had so much potential. Got it day one, and it just ... wasnt good. Really bummed me out and I think its made me gunshy about games like this.

I fucking love everything I've seen of this game so far, the hud, style, weapons, everything. Too bad there isn't a demo out for the PC but whatever, I can wait for the full game.
It's a shame this game has nothing to do with what it's named after other than that it is in the future and has guns
it's a reboot. the co-op game is directly based on the original game. 9 of the 14 missions are taken from it.
It's probably the most graceful thing someone could ask for other then a big well known strategy game company coming in and making a new strategy game out of it.

I dunno - it's got a bunch of gun-wielding lunatics running around slaughtering everything in sight at the behest of their shadowy corporate masters. It's not that far off, is it?

That awful bullshit moving HUD is a deal breaker.

now I'm crying and inconsolable
and why does everyone from the future look like a punk rocker
I want this to be good.
But damn that HUD is straight out of a nightmare.
That's what cyber punk looks like.
that's why it's that.
I'm digging the style and look of it.
I thought the same damn thing.
From the terrible sequels, though
Now it just needs a revolutionary new parkour engine.
Dystopia was some good cyberpunk. That was an awesome half life 2 mod
stop it
Brink has brought too much sadness already
I wanted to be a puppet of the corporate overlords
I get what they are trying to do and its a cool concept, but ugh, it gave me a headache within minutes just watching the video.

But what are the odds of that?

I knew it would be crap even then. Hey look, I was right.

God I loved Dystopia so much. I spent so much time using the SWT.
Yeah, I like the hud. It's readable for me and looks cool too.
"We make bad decisions!" strikes me as a remarkably honest and frank admission, actually
But you work for The Man.
The Man wears nice suits in cyberpunk unless he lives in a vat barely surviving.
It's how you know he's evil.
Of course, my favorite cyberpunk picture is Brandon Graham's depiction of Neuromancer
Chops out all the traditional cyberpunk visuals. Nifty looking.
Seems very...Transmet/The Filth
Found it in an interview with him for something or other.
Saved it immediately. I just noticed that Case and Molly are in the picture at normal scale if you look close. Pretty neat.
We wubbing so hard.
Also getting used to the controls. seems alright.
Still hard as fuck to get much done solo, but i made it to a check point, found a belt fed shotgun.
