    Eh, I'm doing alright really.

Saw a doctor recently who reckoned I could have a couple more years before my kidney failure actually hits the "DIALYSIS / TRANSPLANT RIGHT THE FUCK NOW" stage, which is pretty different from what I've been told previously.

So, you know, I hope she's right about that.

    I'll be fine either way.

Stale, you're not a bad person for determining the quality of the ending period of your life. If the ostomy isn't going to save you, then it's a personal call if you wanna even bother going through with that.

    I honestly can't complain much.

back in late 08-early 09, the outlook was far worse. I've had a lot more time than originally thought. Perhaps I'll have more still. Who knows.

My concern, Stale, is that I've seen the last bit of time before cancer eats someone, and I wish there was an option available to gracefully bow out before that.

    As do I.

As much as I wish this country was civilized enough to allow merciful end-of-life decisions, that is out of my hands.

My old PC ran TOR, but it wasn't at the greatest settings. But that was beta back in October, so I dunno how much optimization has been done since then. But we're talking a GeForce 9600 and a two-core processor that might not even work. I, uh, have a bit of a short temper at times, and might have damaged the CPU when removing the DVD drive.

I read about it, and one scene in particular. Wasn't sure if I could handle a whole film of it.

I got diagnosed about 3 years ago and luckily the hospital I went to had a really really good gastro doctor on call. sadly I moved a few months back and the current one I have isn't really all that great so I'm looking for a new one.

I'm not sure what to say to you sick guys, saying "I'm sorry" sounds empty and pathetic, even though I am sorry and feel its awful, it just seems empty to say over the internet. It the kind of thing you say accompanied with a big hug.

Louisville Ky current;y but I'm gonna be moving to San Diego come August and I have higher hopes for finding a good gastro doctor out there than around here.

I'm a long-time lurker here and I was diagnosed with Crohn's in late November. I'm uninsured at the moment and praying that my Crohn's gets more under control in the next few months. That said, reading Munkus's stories/stories of people on Crohn's forums terrifies the shit out of me. My GI sounds optimistic and pretty calm about things, but I'm worried that I'll just start deteriorating and have to get tons of surgery to no good effect.
