So here are the final designs, approved by Khoo:

TEMPEST IS MEN'S, POWER IS WOMEN'S

The back will have names across the shoulders in standard block style letters like you see on most jerseys. The numbers on the back will also be block style with an outline, kinda like this:
tempestback.jpg

I wanted to also have the orange Tempest available, but it would have ended up costing more.

Pricing will be a bit under $16 for the Tempest (dude cut) and just a smidge over $17 for the Power (lady cut) for sizes S-XL. 2XL will be about $1.40 more each. That's how it works, out of my hands.

Payment will be by check or money order, mailed to my office. Details to come later.

Sizing chart:
sizing.jpg

PRICES ARE NOT FINAL AT THIS POINT.

We get different volume costs on the lettering on the front, so the final price will be determined by how many sheets of lettering we have to order. The prices I have right now are based on a rough tally from the other thread of people who seemed significantly interested. I had it about 80 total. If the number drops or raises much, the price will respond accordingly. Once I get the final numbers, everyone will need to send in a check to my office before I place the order.

So here's what I need from you now:

If you are ABSOLUTELY SURE you want a jersey for around that price and will commit to sending money when it comes time, post in this thread with a simple !TEMPESTNAVY or !POWERNAVY, depending on which applies to you. Once I have a final number, I will be able to give you a final price and then we'll start the next steps.

If you have questions and stuff, please put it in a different post.

I will bring a big ol' box of these finished products to PAX and hand them out to attendees. If you are not coming to PAX and you want one, then you are agreeing that you are okay with sending me money personally later so that I can personally ship these to you. If you are an international shippee, you may be responsible for duties/customs fees upon delivery, depending on how your country works. That is your job to find that out, not mine.

YOU HAVE UNTIL THE END OF THIS MONTH, WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 29 2012, 11:59:59 PM PST TO REPLY IF YOU WANT A JERSEY.

Why didn't we just collect funds into a thing and pay from that? The only reason I ask is I don't want to go get a checkbook for one check, you know?

I don't want to deal with setting up a paypal account or a bank account or whatever just for this. And I don't want to have anything that could even begin to have an appearance of impropriety when collecting this money, so this is the best way to do that.

You could do a money order. Those are cheap.

Get a less stupid bank, goose.

edit: also geek when it comes to shipping, is sending you a prepaid UPS label cool?

I am sad that we couldn't get orange though. it would be more classic. Also I hope my fat ass will fit into a 2x, if not more incentive to lose weight

also sending a check might be a problem for us non-Americans because it would be a check from a foreign bank and checks are not always international-friendly

BUT we can do a direct bank transfer

OR Paypal someone else on the forum (who is trustworthy of course) with an existing Paypal account and have them cut you a check on our behalf

can we get this added to the OP? i'd also suggest adding tracking / checking if it's included on the mailing label.

I was going to make a post volunteering to do this (and probably still will) but I wouldn't want to do it too many times cause it could look fishy or whatever.

man that is the second post in this (still very short) thread about paranoia over things looking fishy

if it's not more than something like $10,000, no one is going to care

and it's not like you're actually doing something illegal

that said, I do still understand the underlying worry... and it is definitely ace of you to offer

I say this having received $11,000 in Paypal and check money from Australian and international sources

money that was paid out for AusPAX accommodation

if it's a one-off or a relatively small amount, you will be fine

Geek we all know you're an upstanding citizen of the forums, just do the paypal thing and take our money. It lists names and stuff of contributors doesn't it? I've given wads of cash to Viv for AusPAX, Mori for ultimakay's steam gift fund. Ain't no thang.

Wow. That figure makes sense but I just never really thought about how much it was. Were you tempted to withdraw all the cash before paying for the houses and just, I dunno, hug the money?
