Alternative to .NET Reflector?

I am trying to decompile an executable from a legacy project for which no one can find the source code. .NET Reflector used to be the tool of choice, but it's no longer free. Does anyone know of any free tools that do essentially the same thing?

Unfortunately it looks like the assemblies I am trying to get at are not .NET. So, I am left to guessing.

They could be .NET but could have gone through the NGen process, which will leave them in a state where they can't be disassembled.

I doubt any of my predecessors at this company would do that. I am going to have to just re-write what it's supposed to be doing anyhow now.

You could also check out IL.View, a tool that uses Mono.Cecil to do its introspection. It requires Silverlight, though...

ILSpy also uses Mono.Cecil and ICSharpCode.CodeDom.Disassembler.
