Grabbing Video Off A DVR

I have a Scientific Atlanta 8300HD from Comcast and I was wondering if its possible to grab the video files by hooking up my PC to it? My PC has USB2.0 and firewire ports.

    If the DVR box has some AV outputs, and you have something on your PC that captures video, it should be no problem.
