The girl I've been seeing and who I am kind of crazy about is coming back on Tuesday, and staying with me for a month.
Work has finally calmed down and I finally get to work on some projects that will make us some money rather than having to deal with crazy clients.
I'm going back to Australia for the first time in 2 years in May, for 6 weeks - looking forward to drinking beer with all the guys I miss and hopefully getting some jam sessions in with the old band.
Things are pretty sweet! The only bad things are that I can't afford PAX East like I'd hoped, and that after the month of staying here my lady leaves for London for 6 months, so we'll most likely be breaking up, which sucks.
why are you going to break up? 6 months isn't that long. And while british accents are charming, you have a more charming one.
She doesn't know for sure that she's coming back to Vancouver afterwards - but having said that, the decision to break up was before our relationship got this serious, so I think it's quite likely we'll discuss it and re-think it while she's here. I'm hoping I'll be able to go visit her while she's there at some point too, which would be awesome, though it'll depend on timing because she'll be moving around the UK a bit and I'll be in AU right in the middle of that time.

Yesterday I found out that one of my friends at work is being transferred to a different store. But another friend from my old store is being promoted/replacing him so I couldn't ask for anything more.
Today I had some really nice customers, including one who insisted that he see the manager to compliment me on my service. And it sunk in on the way home how good it feels to have a car I searched/paid for myself that looks and works really nice. Also the air con at work has finally been fixed.
So all in all a pretty good day!
