I too stopped reading at "mass casualty terror attacks".
Turn everything into robots. Just imagine: Robot people with robopets riding in robocars IN a robo-tank that can make more robots. ROBOTS.
Find out about our enemy, and then turn them in to vapor.
Virgil wins this lottery, kitting-out the tank with Probe Projectors and a Psychoformatter

You may be able to download some templates later for Microton warheads that can... 'repair' your things, in a way.
Undying!
#3 seems useful too, we already got missiles right? Makes orbital death banks redundant. But on the other hand, ORBITAL DEATH
OHHH WAIT, we didn't get the missiles. Suddenly things turned HARD, I'm gonna have to think on this one.
So basically we are a mobile tank and cyborg factory that mind controls humans. Looking good!
I still don't know what this really is, but the choices for equipment make me giddy.
Never too many boots on the ground.
If we're going to be covering and taking a lot of ground, having the ability to instantly shift a battalion of
soldierstanks anywhere on the map would be a really good thing. Even better with the Probe Projecters we've got, we'll be able to shift units into minimally explored territory.Yup, that's me on Steam.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's because we're driving a giant tank that makes other tanks.
I mean, nobody wants to ask the navy for help. It'd make us feel like Oliver Twist: "Please, sir, I'd like some more orbital death beams...".
All the other super tanks would laugh at us. "Oh, look at the big bad KitKat... can't even obliterate a moderately armed city without begging the navy for some orbital death beams" Then they'd give us cyber wedgies and whatever the tank equivalent of a swirly is.
"Hey KitKat, we've got a small group of hut dwellers over here! They seem to be armed with pointy sticks and rocks, if you feel up to it! Or you could just call in your navy buddies, you know, if you think they might be too much for you..."
Yup, that's me on Steam.
