magic box had it 16-13 before the bedlam switch. my vote should have tied it.fuck. fuck. fuck. fuck.

    Magic box is unreliable.

Don't use magic box for tying or untying.

    I have learned from experience.

Also, poor Blarns. He will never do this again, I think.

My seer results were for Shabooty. Was outbid for the investigator so all I got is financials. His salary was not out of the ordinary and all income that night was from bets.

No, this is precisely why I have this rule in place. As edited, current extension is to x:10 for things to count.

This doesn't seem right, shouldn't he also have a nightly fixed income?

Wait, you wanted to have headaches at vote close?

I mean, I get why you wanted shenanigans for shenanigans' sake. But I empathize with you from hosting vote counting sake.

    haha.

    vote is closed.

i tried. i'm totally village, i wanted to go out tonight, but at the same time i totally think jabmonkey is mafia, so i wanted me to tie it with him. the cayrus stuff is absolutely true. it might be a coincidence, but i also had to make it known.

if i don't die tonight, vote me out tomorrow for proof. it's all good.

i seered "virgil leads you" last night. he came up as a death match organizer. he's your new network head.

    Day 4 has closed.

Votes and actions made at or before x:10 will count, excepting corvidae's most recent vote; all votes and actions made at x:11 and later will not.

Narration and results will be up in approximately an hour.

If village or mafia wants to ensure ties, they should spreadsheet and double-check their counts before last-minute shenanigans become a thing.

and if that wasn't super clear. i needed the vote tied to off jabmonkey, and i need to die to confirm virgil.

    virgil is 100% village aligned.

    sorry for the shenanigans!

The system is to prevent people from tying/breaking ties right at the deadline. It gives everyone 5 minutes to readjust their position based on new information rather than having random refresh problems/split second timing be the downfall of an orchestrated vote plan.

damn. This is partly my fault. Sorry guys. I should have been sterner, or forced the reveal earlier.

We didn't want a reveal before vote close. That gets you killed by the mafia.

Maybe the tie plan could have been revealed earlier though :)

I mentioned his salary, which as I said was normal. Sorry, the way I worded it was unclear. He made money from salary and a fairly nice bet payoff, no transfers.

Anyhow, we have a network, and a good chunk of money.
    Let's eradicate these coppers.

so first, I apologize to the village for being so bad at not
    being suspicious.

    I am a village special. I successfully seered Virgil_Leads_You
and from there a network is born. Stick together. Work as a team.

    You guys totally have this.

See, being a special is something you might want to bring to our attention before we vote for you.

Also, let's hold off on revealing to Virgil before narration.

also, for the record, the reason i didn't reveal my plan, was if either ppl went for cayrus, me, or jabmonkey, depending on results, there would at least be some interesting voting records for the more analytical types out there.

If JABMonkey is a village special (as claimed), then she'll die and be revealed as such to confirm Virgil. You needn't die as well.

No need to martyr yourself like that.

Edit: You both seered virgil, but were not in contact with each other?

I guess that's why the plan was a bit weird.....

    no, we weren't.

virgil was talking to jab. i found the story weird and unlikely.

i seered virgil independantly. i had no idea jab was talking to virg until after i seered him.

also, i understand if ppl are reticent, but you should donate to virgil, to make sure he can get guarded.

Round 5: Paranoia in the Ring

JABMonkey was working late, preparing the next week's matches when his office door burst open with a violent blow. Stepping inside came a number of men under his employ, looking rather displeased. JABMonkey, caught off guard by the sudden entry, was quickly surrounded by a number of angry faces. "Hey, you're one of the guys in charge?" "Things are getting bad out there, we're getting arrested by the cops, and now some of us are dying out there." "You know sportzboytjw? I think you do know him, he works for you, like the rest of us." "Poor guy was found dead this morning, killed by some crazy assassin. What're you gonna do about it, huh?"

JABMonkey panicked. "Didn't you all get the message that it was your duty to find the infiltrators? It's not my fault the league is in trouble! You do something about it!" JABMonkey began to shrink in his chair as the men approached him menacingly. "Yeah, no problem, 'boss'. We'll do something about it right away..."

Meanwhile, in the alleyways of the city, Turkson ran from a pursuer. Though he knew many tricks to evade chasers, and despite his pursuer's massive size, Turkson could not shake the other man off his trail. A wrong turn led him to a dead end with no escape, and at its end, Turkson turned around, frozen in his tracks. "Who are you?!", Turkson demanded. The moon came out of the clouds and shone its light on the masked face of the man facing Turkson. "No... no, it can't be! You died last week!" "No, Señor... Inactivus can never die."

    JABMonkey - Deathmatch Boss
