Belfort/Wanderlei is a mismatch in my eyes. Vitor has only gotten better with age while Wanderlei struggles with every opponent nowadays. Vitor is 8-2 in his last 10 fights with the two losses going to the current superchamp (A.SIlva) and Hendo. He has finished 7 of those 8 wins via stoppage, most in the first round.
Wanderlei is 4-6 in his last 10 and was KO'd cold in 4 of those losses. He has also been KO'd cold by Vitor in the past...
I mean yeah, anything can happen in MMA but this matchup really doesn't make any sense beyond brazilian fanservice
I wish it would be because that'd be an amazing matchup, but I don't think there's any way Edgar's cutting down yet until he at least loses another match at lw

In other news May 15th is one of the biggest days of the year for me. On the one hand we have:

Zombie won his last match with a 7 second KO, officially (but not really) the fastest KO in the history of the UFC, and the match before he won with the only Twister submission in the history of the UFC. I'm not sure what he could do to top those two finishes but I expect a Zangief spinning pile driver mixed with a Triangle Choke for the KO/Submission win
I'm praying for 24 minutes of Silva pillowhanding Chael from a dominant ground position.
And then Silva ending his face in that final minute.

I personally am not a fan of the Wrestling/GnP fighting style anymore. I feel that at one time, GnPers used to be pretty good strikers and they used a lot of strategy when selecting shots and opening positions. Now it feels like their fights are 90% wrestling 10% striking because they are too afraid of losing position, even though they could probably get it back to the ground with ease.
This leads to long/boring/onesided matches. This makes me root against pretty much everyone who has a primary fight style of takedown wrestling. It may be effective, but it isn't really fun to watch.
