AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH.. I'm getting so ticked off at Pushmo. I think the "B" in the third set of bonus puzzles stands for BULL. They CLAIM these are "3 star" puzzles, but they play like 5 star puzzles and they are starting to really irritate me. I have only had to look up one puzzle this whole game (I forget which one exactly, but the solution I found a video of was you had to jump onto a button and immediately jump to the left at the same time while getting pushed off the button to land in the newly created space. The one and ONLY time you've had to do that.) and now these are just not making any sense. I had to look up B-6, which was driving me nuts for a while. Turns out I was 99% the way there. Now I'm stuck on B-8. Ugh. I hate looking up solutions, but I don't want to snap my 3DS in half either.

Just wait until you see B-11. That's the one that I've been stuck on for months.

New games up on Club Nintendo to spend your coins on (not 3DS coins, but Club Nintendo coins):

You, Me, and the Cubes (Wii - 200 coins)
Excitebike: World Rally (Wii - 200 coins)
    Metal Torrent (3DS/DSi - 150 coins)

Anyone tried out Metal Torrent yet? Looks like a bullet hell shooter.

I like shmups. And since I have way too many coins doing nothing, and 3DS doesn't have too many of these type of games, I may as well buy this. Anyone get it or play it yet? Thoughts?

I read the review that was linked earlier in the CN thread to see if it was any good, and I stopped reading when it said the focus was not to survive but to earn the most points. Not interested in a game like that.

A friend of mine downloaded Metal Torrent a while ago. Said it's definitely a bullet hell shooter that isn't too difficult. The game focuses heavily on score attack so make sure you like getting points if you download it. :)

    Public service announcement:

Make sure to open up the Music Player, add songs to your SD card, add 5 songs to your favorites, and enable Street Pass. I'm going to see some of you in the future (Atlanta Zelda concert) and I need more music passes. This feature is woefully being ignored.

Brought to you by the department of MNC Dover, helping you maximize your 3DS portable game system!

Edit: I also officially got the last pink puzzle piece for all the puzzles. Now to work on the blue pieces. :D

Back when the 3DS only had about 5 or so games worth playing I used to stress how amazing the Nintendo Sound program was and people still ignored me.

Now with it having a very decent young library noone but me and a select few will know about its awesome visualizers, streetpass top 5, and built in 3D Game and Watch clone game.

So can you just take out the SD card and put it in your computer to add songs? I've literally never looked at any of the music stuff on here. The Streetpass doesn't send the actual songs, just a list of them?

I really doubt it would send full potentially-license-infringing audio files to other people, it's just another fun local information sharing thing.

But yeah, you can just put it in your computer and toss music on there. I think the DSi could only do AAC (M4A) files but 3DS can play MP3s.

I swear the 3DS gets BETTER battery life in sound mode then it does in regular sleep mode.

Because of coin collecting I use it as my primary goto mp3 player. Yes I know it is bulky as fuck. Yes, the volume is a little low. Other then that though its amazing.

Here's the skinny on the music player:

    Menu and StreetPass
    - record/edit sounds in up to 10 second clips (5 second clips can be attached to SwapNotes!)
    - add AAC or MP3's directly to your SD card from your PC
    - once songs are on the SD card, you can assign 10 to your own personal "top 10"
    - you can also assign 5 songs to "StreetPass" mode
    - with streetpass active, your top 10 and streetpass songs will be compared to other 3DS owners
    - like songs, artists, or compatibility info will be tracked (takes several passes to compile a list, haven't been able to confirm this yet)
    - save 3D photos of your compatibility info or top songs/artists
    - on the main screen try talking into the mic. one of the parrots will fly to the touch screen, tap it to listen to it playback your clips

    Player itself
    - tap the center pull string to change the background
    - use the circle pad to play on the Game n' Watch background
    - tap the L/R buttons to add sound effects to the song your listening to
    - tap the L/R icons (or X/Y buttons) to change the sound effect (best set to none if the system is closed)
    - use the two mid-screen icons to modify song tempo/pitch or to add effects (radio, 8-bit, karaoke, echo)
    - with headphones plugged in, you can close the system and still listen to music
    - tap the parrots for tips

Now get your music on your system. We need them dots!
