Oh yeah, I vaguely remember that. Hope they don't forget the GC click.

Even then, I'd love the ability to plug a GameCube or GameCube-like controller into the Wii Remote. I still can't imagine playing Smash Bros. any other way, and it's my preferred method for N64 games as well (for some reason, I just find the Classic doesn't work as well there).

The worst thing about GC games on WiiU will probably be the lack of support for analog triggers. I suppose they could bring out a Classic Controller GC or something. That would be pretty sweet.

The L & R buttons on the original Classic Controller are analog, actually. They don't have that digital "click" when they're fully depressed, however.

They took 'em out of the CCPro, I guess because nobody used the functionality.

I actually really love using the Wii remote NES-style when playing Brawl.

I've been using that scheme for so long I have trouble going back to the NGC controller.

Come to think of it once I get rid of the Wii I'll be able to sell the NGC controller and Wavebird I have since I won't need 'em anymore.

Tell me about it. I worked there from 1997-2004. The company wasn't bad to work for until around 2002-2003. Then upper management changed and it all went to shit. Fortunately I got out before the Gamestop merger.

I kid, of course. I worked at CompUSA from 2005 till their closure in 2008. As scummy as the company was, I loved my store and my co-workers. A very pleasant atmosphere and environment for employees and customers alike. We did our best to make sure the place didn't feel too "big box" and I hope that got through to the people that did business with us.

I preordered Billy Hatcher. I spent so much time on that game. It is so good. So good.

Has anyone been able to find a guide/wiki to Sakura Samurai? I've been playing it through again (lost the save in the SD card corrupt) and doing the minigames I'm curious what the difference is and how many different special attacks there are. Can't find a walkthrough or guide anywhere.

I'm just surprised that in the whole internet no one has done this yet. I've half a mind to do one myself after I finish this run.

I'll say it. Ketzal's Corridors and Amoebattle are pretty sweet. Both have pretty interesting takes on their genre. Amoebattle is extra nice because I think it's the first RTS on the eshop. They are nicely polished and neither is a cake walk which is a nice surprise. Just when I think the 3DS release schedule is lacking, nice stuff like this pops up.

Officially coming out in Japan this fall. Probably coming out here around the same time, if previous games in the series are any indication.

I wonder if Nintendo will take advantage of its upcoming ability to push DLC in Animal Crossing? If any Nintendo game has the ability to support tons of random DLC goodies, it's Animal Crossing.

    http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2012/04/iwata_animal_crossing_3ds_wont_rely_on_add_on_content
To some, Animal Crossing on 3DS sounds like the ideal opportunity to sell as much digital add-on content as possible, but Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has again stated the company's strong opposition to this model.

Iwata told investors Nintendo will stick to its ethos of not selling products that consumers would deem "incomplete", preserving its relationship with customers. He particularly spoke out against so-called "gacha-type" business models, which mimic the popular capsule toy machines by asking users to pay upfront without knowing which particular item will come through. In Animal Crossing parlance, imagine buying a chair without knowing which series it was from.

Of course Iwata didn't say that Animal Crossing 3DS won't feature add-on content — both Wii and DS versions have received regular, free updates — but that Nintendo is sticking to its principles:
We will continue to make efforts to avoid such misunderstandings as, “the next ‘Animal Crossing’ might be a game which relies upon add-on content sales.”

As for a Western release date, Iwata said that information will be revealed "at a later date." The most recent schedule lists its release date outside Japan as "to be determined."
