Guys, this has fuck-all to do with ME3. Talk about something else for 5 seconds, like maybe the comic presented.

The place to discuss the new comics, newsposts, PATV episodes and all other Penny Arcade content.

Can we have separate threads to discuss the news posts that come with the comics, then?

The claim here is that five years worth of gaming is wrapped up in a ten minute cut scene. I guess this comes down to when you think the ending starts. Like Tycho, I consider Mass Effect 3 to be “the ending”. The game starts with Earth under attack and from that point on it’s a mad dash to try and stop the Reapers. I’d argue that if you like ME3 then you liked the ending.
I'm not playing ME3, but I'm watching the internet chaos surrounding it unfold. I think what people take issue with is the denouement of ME3, but it's less pretentious and better understood to call it "the ending." Most of the ME3 game is the "climax" of the series, but not the denouement/"ending."

See, in my opinion Gabe looks more intelligent now than he did circa, say, 2003-04. But of course a lot of it comes down to the individual strip/panel you're looking at.
