Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

All my characters are generic human names. Even the Aliens.

Although, Solar has Steve the Drell and that amuses me to no end.

I think someone gave the reason for the salarian handlebars once

If I remember correctly it's compensation for their concave chests

Chest protection, then? I always assumed it was necessary to have whenever dealing with Brogan, or Bros of any race, really.

You know, you gotta wonder about the challenges of a galactic market for filmmakers. I mean, sure. Everyone loves Blasto. But beyond that?

Turian crime dramas will bore every other species.

    ("Did you do it?"

    "Yes."

    "CASE CLOSED")

Salarians wouldn't get romantic comedies at all.

Elcor would basically see every other species's movies as the most melodramatic overplayed stuff ever.

Gotta be a marketing problem there. Mainly curious about turian and salarian films, though. Do turians cop films have ill-matched partners "By the book cop" and "Even more by the book cop"? Is one of the standard moments in a salarian action movie where you find out that the hero implanted a bomb in the baddy's henchman's neck in the opening gunfight, allowing him to kill them both in the blast?

dammit I can't remember the details but I don't think the salarian chest bar was for protection

I think it was more trying to fit in with the asari and whatnot

I remember they didn't have those chest bars until after they came to the citadel

The Turians probably have war movies. They'll get by the books dudes and then they'll have guys like Garrus or Victus.

Yeah the Turians are probably into war films

except because every Turian was or is in the military all the Turian war movies are super-accurate and well researched

I imagine that Turians would be into stuff like Generation Kill, actually

Neither did the action movie C-SEC (presumably about a loose cannon human and a by-the-book Turian who have to stop Krogan terrorists).

Except in the Krogan DMZ, where it was "accidentally" marketed as a comedy.

    promoted my Vanguard.
was levelling up Drell Vanguard, not liking it quite as much as I remembered.. Pull is great, but I keep wishing I had Nova. anyway I usually use the Disciple shotgun on them, it's lightweight, but tried out the N7 Eagle which I hated before, it's not bad on a Vanguard - light enough to get 200% or 198% recharge bonus, and does ok at short range. just don't try to shoot anything farther than 6 feet away...

And they're a niche market to begin with, considering the tiny population.

The only thing that was screencapped was Taky asking people to be careful what they attribute to him. Which could be applied to a lot of things he's posted about, privately or publically.

The rest of it is complete hearsay of hearsay. There's no proof of any of it. I was even one of the people saying "don't talk about that", and I never saw the post come from Taky's account.
