One thing's for sure I'm going to be pissed if Cena is almost immediately put back in the WWE title picture, unless he starts to show legitimate character development in the coming weeks due to the Rock loss. Still though I'd rather Cena stay away from the title scene unless it's the tag ones or something.

I'd like Cena to take a month or two off. Dude must need it after the year he's been through.

I don't think that's an immediate concern unless they actually turn Cena heel, since the two title holders are now faces.

But who the hell knows, they could still shove him in with a three way deal or something. But hopefully he just feuds with Matt Bloom for awhile. I'd be fine with that.

I am looking forward to watching tonight's RAW. It should be very interesting at the very least.

One thing though...how the eff are they going to hide the fact that "Oh hey it's Albert" when he debuts? No amount of makeup, man...and judging by the short promo vids, dude isn't wearing a mask, either. I guess probably they're not concerned with more than maybe 10% of their audience even knowing who the guy is.

Crowds still chant for "Sexual Chocolate."

    They'll chant for Albert/T-n-A/whatever.

Anyone here besides me think a Punk/Batista feud could be good?

    Personally I'd rather see Batista/Sheamus.

That'd be good too. Since Barrett is more than likely going to end Punk's reign as WWE champ later in the year he needs some placeholder feuds till then and Batista was the best I could think of. I'd rather see that then guys like Cody, Del Rio, or Ziggler job to Punk again.

Despite Sheamus, the majority of the PPV sounds very entertaining and compelling

I think, if anyone can make a 15 second loss something hysterical and compelling, it's D-Bry.

Fuck if only they had some sense and let Sheamus and Bryan go for 10-15 minutes. You could have had a hot opener, and incredible middle, and a great ending. Instead you have an infuriating opener that set a bad tone for the rest of the show. Just argh.

  • Zen VulgarityZen Vulgarity Ask me about Super Propane and Super Propane accessoriesRegistered User regular
I think considering how much of a MONSTER Sheamus is right now and how much of a slippery fuck Bryan is right now, the ending kinda makes sense. They could have done it better, but it sort of in a weird way has some logic behind it.

    344B2YT.gifsteamicon48x48.gif
  • wirehead26wirehead26 Registered User regular
I have no problem with them making Sheamus look like a monster I really don't. Just not at Bryan's expense and at the biggest show of the year. It's quite possible Bryan can recover but if he's jobbed out after this I'll be quite miffed. They better have a damn good rematch at Backlash.

GM-wise, I voted for TLB, because me and him are bros, and if anybody will guarantee I hold this belt for a long time, it's him

Honestly, the only people I would be completely happy losing my title to are him and Geebs

And Zen, I will say this about the PPV. Personally I felt it was worse than last year's Mania, which I maintain is hard to do. However, Punk/Jericho and Taker/Hunter are both 4-star matches at least, and both worth the price of a normal PPV

Yeah that's the key part to me, "at the biggest show of the year".

WM is supposed to be where all the feuds build to and end. If this is the end of the feud, then that's not simply not a great payoff. If, as I hope, it's an angle to further the feud, then that's fine, and it does make sense from a storyline perspective. But WM isn't the right place for it.

Yeah that opener killed everything up until HiaC for me.

    Overall I'd give it a C-

    HHH/Taker was fantastic.

The tag match was a clusterfuck. Way too many people involved.

Punk/Jericho was a bit uneven up until the last five minutes when they finally got it into gear.

Rock/Cena was what it was. I liked seeing them finally wrestle but it went on far too long. Rocky was gassed and Cena isn't the kind of guy that can lead his opponent around and make them look good if something goes wrong. I don't get the finish either but hopefully it'll lead to a stronger personality for Cena.

    I meant right now

Let me hold the belt for 2 more months, so I'm not transitional, and I'll be happy no matter who takes it after then

Sweeney Mania 28 was not as bad as Mania 27. Take away the Bryan thing and it's a really good show.

Problem is you CAN'T take away that match so I guess I see where you're coming from.

WWE officials are reportedly planning a lengthy World Heavyweight Title run for Sheamus.

Trent Baretta apparently wants out of WWE

    And finally
Feel like I got run over by a truck...and in a way I did. The better man won last night. I guess its time for me to move on.

I take that last quote was Cena Sweeney? Or was it Jericho?

Way too humble for D-Bry right now, also probably for Jericho, it's gotta be Cena.

Wait, is Christian still legit injured?

Cause I see him coming back tonight and demanding a title match now that Johnny's overall GM.

Think he's just working off rust. Bryan "should" get first crack at a rematch for Extreme Rules but with last night who the hell knows.
