Solid Raw tonight, happy for Truth and kofi, Johnny finally going full heel, and Lesnar getting the hell off of the TV.

Surprisingly, I'll give kudos to Cole tonight too, he was commentating in a mostly face manner and didn't get on my nerves.

Well, I am top 3 all-time in this thing, so I have to be somewhat good.

So I watched the end segment of RAW. Was it just me or did Cole do really good commentary for that bit?

Yeah, I think it was super effective that even heel Cole was disapproving of Johnny's actions.

So while Hunter pretty much runs everything now, he still has to filter everything through Vince. So it's safe to say Vince Mcmahon approved a CM Punk/Daniel Bryan WWE title match for a PPV.

I don't quite know what to say.

yeah vince is notoriously bad about not wanting to give guys he didn't create anything

    this is wow

I think even Vince has reached the point where he realizes that WWE's talent development system is so shitty that they literally can't create their own stars anymore.

Yeah no. Hell no. The WWE developmental system has created a bunch of good wrestlers or at least good characters, especially nowadays.

    it's also created alex riley

Cole has really dialed down the heelness from "ridiculously over the top" to "appropriately snide" lately. Image Cole of a year ago comenting on the Lawler / Bryan match and contrast to this weeks. Like night and day and so much better for it.

EDIT: Also , Cena's husky monotone impression is spot on.

That was because back then, JR was in the Gorilla Position, telling him what to say and how to say it. At the moment he's nowhere near as bad as he was last year but still really isn't that good. If you want to strangle anyone though, strangle Vince, as it's his creation. Still, Lawler's way worse.

Anyway, Raw was pretty good. Loving the idea of Punk vs Bryan and Cena vs Ace at Over the Limit.

Plus, Punk vs. Danielson for the WWE title. Holy shit. Never, ever in my wildest dreams watching those two in the indies did I believe this would come to pass.

I was kinda confused on the ending of Jericho/Big Show. What was the point of that ending cluster?

I think the ref legit fucked up to be honest. He was counting waayyyy too slow.

I was watching with a friend and we're both certain the ref legit fucked it up. When they came back from commercial and said both guys were counted out, that was pretty much their way of saying "yeah so there's no way we can bullshit our way out of this one. no worries we're firing that ref tomorrow" :P

    So did this get mentioned:
Following the Extreme Rules PPV on Sunday, there was a huge backstage blow-up involving Brock Lesnar.
According to several sources, Lesnar lost it on a number of WWE officials and began ripping apart a dressing room, upset over the John Cena promo that closed the PPV.

The original plan was for Cena, despite winning, to be so beaten that he was carried out of the building, leaving an opening for Lesnar to brag that while he had lost the battle on a fluke, he had won the war.

When Cena decided to address the audience, Lesnar perceived it as Cena double crossing him and lost in on WWE officials. It's not yet known how they calmed him down, but tonight's angle with HHH was planned in advance as a way to remove Lesnar from TV.

Sources within the company have indicated that Lesnar's current deal only requires him to work two dates minimum.

I have to agree with Lensar here. It should have happened like HHH/Taker back on Mania 27 with Cena collapsing and having to be carried out. I really hope this didn't fuck up Brock's WWE return as I want to see him wrestle guys like Punk and Orton.

Judging by how they completely dropped the entire incident, I think the outcome they wanted was for a double DQ due to the time limit. I think Black Ref fucked up by counting 10 instead of cutting off his count when the horn sounded.

I feel bad for him though, as this was probably his chance to get off Divas detail. Now he's gonna be stuck reffing that and squash matches again.

It was decent. I liked the opening although there was no need to replay it five times throughout the show, my add isn't that bad.

    The ending was cool too.

Matchwise it was pretty lame but I wasn't expecting much there considering it was only one night removed from a ppv where all the top guys basically killed themselves.

Oh and Punk/Bryan main event at Over the Limit.
