Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

look not to be snarky because I could totally google this game and look it up
but what is it and is it multiplayer only?
it is a board game
technically you can play against AIs but yes it is basically multiplayer only
you're given a map of the united states and canada (there's DLC for a Europe map), and you're given a couple random cities. The goal is to build railroads to connect the cities. You get points for every section of track you lay down, as well as points for doing a connection, based on how far apart the cities are. Phoenix to Portland is worth 11 but New York to Seattle is worth 23, for instance. If you have any incomplete connections at the end of the game, you take their point value as a penalty. Whoever has the longest railroad gets a bonus ten points. Most points wins.

that sounds oddly like Settlers of Catan
yeah like I said a few posts up it's kind of like if they took settlers of catan and stripped out the development cards, towns, and cities, and made road-building a little more complex to compensate

like I agree that the interactions are fucking cool and great
but the stamina is just constantly present and plays such a huge role that I think you'll end up finding it detracts from your experience
