I think it allows you as long as you use the email you bought the games under. Worth a shot when the site is less stressed perhaps.

I think he means why doesn't it go to 1pm on Monday. It cuts off during some people's prime weekend gaming time.

Right. But I don't think it lets you gift it to people who are playing the free trial, because steam assumes you have it, so if it cuts it off before the sale is over that gives you some time to buy it for yourself or gift it to others before the sale ends.

I figure it's just to get people to buy it. Give them a taste, but if you take it away on monday they're probably less likely to buy it than if you take it away on Sunday.

So yeah, I just did the puppygames freebie and right after that, I've been emailed TWICE from Steam Support about somebody trying to get all usernames associated with my email address. Strange?

Edit: I shouldn't be worried right? Someone else had this happen a while ago. And my password is pretty damn secure. So secure, I don't know what it is, it's stored in KeePass.

The key generator spit out dupes, and other people are trying to retrieve that account since you got the key entered first. They don't realize that what they are attempting is retreiving an account and not jsut the key for that game.

Still bummed about my Titan Attacks key being a dupe. I sent them an email, probably nothing will come of it though.

I just finished The Darkness 2. took me around 6 hours to get through it and I skipped a few of the earlier cutscenes..... Really regretting that now since they're so good. Gonna watch them in the New Game+ mode though. Absolutely phenomenal game that totally blew my mind and expectations. Wasn't expecting to find something that would stand up to the first at all but I think it might have surpassed it. And the Ending was epic. I'm talking Darksiders style insanity that really makes me wish they're working on the third one right the fuck now.

Saw this on SteamGifts, no idea if it works but it's worth a try:

For those people who's keys are duplicated, try this.

Check you get the email with Product Information
DON'T GENERATE THE STEAM KEY YET.
Download the free demo version of the game
Activate the full version of the game using the same e-mail you used for "buying" it
Then go now and generate the steam key.

Incidentally, I never bought it. @handgimp, in his infinite wisdom and generosity (or drunkenness) gifted it to me. One of the most fun games I've played so I'll definitely be paying it forward next time its on sale.

Yeah finally remembered about dupe keys giving that generated email. Was just curious when I got two of them in 5 minute period.

Anyone here play Wargame: European Escalation? It looks really fun, but it seems like it might be mostly centered on multiplayer. Does anyone know if the single player is decent?

There's a thread for it, and the people there mentioned it having a lot of skirmish and campaign stuff against AI. I can't speak for it because I haven't bought it (yet) but it seems to have good SP and MP stuff.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Batman Arkham City is now working properly and all lost saves should be restored. Speaking from experience, I just installed the game right now and tried it and my save is back to normal with new game+ unlocked and the challenges exactly the same as when I lost the save. As Batman would put it; "FUCK YEAH BEEEEYATCH"

Yeah, I honestly expected them to never fix it, so I'm pleasantly surprised that they not only fixed it but restored the corrupted save as well. And it only took them half a year!

@Handgimp , interested in helping me live my dream as a digital farmer, attempted to gift me Farming Simulator 2012 tonight, but accidentally gifted me the DLC pack for Farming Simulator 2012 instead. Laughs were had by all and he then figted me the base game.

Steam, apparently as drunk as Handgimp was, has seen fit to create an extra copy of the DLC pack out of thin air and put it in my inventory.

Crazy night.

The majority of playtime someone is likely to get is from the SP. MP is fun but a bit repetitive and a small community.
