    Besides what Pip mentioned there's been lots of other gods.
    Xmas special when Sam and Dean off'ed the pagan god couple. More recently they off'ed Veritas while Sam had no soul. Hell way back to season 1 there was that scarecrow pagan god.

    Its really not a new concept to the show.

    I'm just in S3 now. About to start episode 3. I do hope this show stops with the trend of
    Introducing black characters then having them betray the boys, mess up, underestimate the situation or some other thing. I doubt it's intentional or anything but it's starting to become a noticeable trend and that's bad news.

    I'm guessing Ruby is the chick with the demon slaying knife. Who is also possessed. I kinda hope she turns into something more interesting than just another totally evil demon. I know evil is kinda what demons are, but the idea of a demon on the side of the boys is interesting and it'll be a big disappointment if she just stabs them in the back like all the other demons.

    Overall though I can't think of any other show that has kept me interested for 2 seasons in 3 days with only a few breaks for work and errands.
