Season 6 just didn't feel like a cohesive season. It was all over the place. There were some excellent single episodes and the last couple were really good but the beginning and the middle could have been better.
There was just no development on Eve at all. Even her death was disappointing.
it was on par with season one
season seven is so much better
I liked the first season because it was really all about MONSTER OF THE WEEK and I'm cool with that. Plus the show was brand new to me so maybe when I go back and watch it a second time my opinion on the first season will be lessened.
I am not saying season one was bad, it was just not cohesive at all or really special until
jeffrey dean motherfucking morgan
showed up. Much like how once the chaff was cut from season six, it became dang good.
With season 6, I still wish they did more with the alphas and the Campbell's. Everything felt so damn rushed. And yeah, eve was such a disappointing main baddie as the season went on
This season felt like that early, but the last few episodes have done an amazing job building up the baddies so it's all good. Can't wait for the finale
I loooooved the lady Campbell, female hunters are always badass
Also the dude who played the nerdy guy from the stand was good. I basically love when they bring i random hunters in the show, expands the world a little and shows that, yeah, this life sucks and hunters are all sad and partly crazy.. It just felt like that whole campbell storyline petered out for no reason
We need an episode with Colt and Bobby working together
bobby will go into a poltergeist rage that somehow sends him back in time leading to a Western supernatural spinoff with Colt and his ghost buddy bobby
I'm not going to argue about whether or not he was God because frankly it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. But it's definitely not silly to think he was. Nowhere in the show was it mentioned that prophets ascend to heaven. People would only be aware of this if I knew shit about judeo-christian mythos. I don't, aside from the basics.
Alls I know is Chuck, regular old prophet guy Chuck, vanished in a puff of white smoke after he finished writing the book on the Lucifer chronicles. Which itself happened shortly after some monologue (was it from Chuck himself? not sure) about how it was entirely possible that God helped the boys out even more than they realized. As to how Chuck's name would be ingrained in Cas' brain, well, if he was God, then he was God. Dude can probably do stuff like that without people realizing.
Whether he actually was or not I don't really care. But the narrative set that up his being God more than it did him ascending to heaven as a prophet whose work was done, so it's definitely not unusual or weird to get the idea he was.
Anyrate, back onto more season 6 stuff
Unsure how I feel about sociopath Sam. On the one hand, dude's creepy and will probably turn on Dean in even worse ways in the future. On the other hand, it's an entirely new direction for Sam and I kinda like that. He was always struggled with some inner goodness when fighting his evil blood or whatever. It got old. Now he has no inner goodness to struggle with, and that in and of itself is a little refreshing.
Also, netflix episode descriptions are really bad about spoiling damn near the entire episode if you accidentally read then before clicking on the link.

re: Chuck
All the things he's doing behind the scenes as the Winchesters are about to walk in just says to me he isn't God on the show.

psyche! attack was awesome, it doesnt make much sense when you think about it, like, if that was the real one, it would've worked anyway, Dick kinda just stood there and god stabbed. Also I wanst 100% sure what Crowley did, can someone sum it up?
Also I stand by my put Dick's head in a box of cement, and drop it in the ocean. Though im never quite sure how Leviathans work.
purgatory was SEEING SOME ACTUAL DEMONS. I mean I know its Supernatural's style, saves on budget and all, but im really sick of every big bad ultimately just being a dude with tricky eyes.

Chuck:
God lies.
I always saw the final scene with Chuck as a meta-joke. The Winchesters literally are characters, and the writer of the story is God. How seriously you want to take that is up to the viewer.

crowley didn't do dick.
he just failed to mention that killing dick wouldn't kill all the leviathans. or that the leviathan killing weapon would transport you to purgatory. or that he was also taking the prophet as payment for his services.
basically crowley just kinda sat by and let the gang fuck themselves over and snuck off with the prophet.
Love this show. My fiancé and I watch it and he's always asking me questions 'cause I'm raised Catholic, so I must know something about what the fuck is happening. This is not always the case.
I will say, though, I was really disappointed with season 6's
build up of Eve as the main villain and then total shut-down 3 or 4 episodes after she's introduced. I would've loved to see her experiment with more monster creation. JEFFERSON STARSHIPS were amazing.

If you've got the eight bucks and like TV, it is more than worth it. That said, I am dirt broke, so I understand if you don't.

I finally got to watch it
and for the first time since the show started, sam is left all alone sans horrible powers.
sure it won't last long, but this is literally the first time since the series started that sammy wasn't a freak or utterly screwed
well, except for all the leftover leviathans
Also I stand by my put Dick's head in a box of cement, and drop it in the ocean. Though im never quite sure how Leviathans work.

because he's the king of hell
you've gotten passed the shitty part of season 6(also the best episodes e.g. bobby and x-files)
Back to season 7. Watching "Shut Up Dr. Phil"
This episode is pretty terrible so far.
MASSIVE SPOILER SEASON 7
how dare I read up on the actors of a show (not even the character, just the actor) and expect a spoiler free experience
I will say, though, I was really disappointed with season 6's
