Alright, mapped out a good route for tomorrow Saturday morning that's just over 43km, and conveniently ends at my gym. Bike rides are good and all, but don't do much for my upper body. Starts off uphill and in to the typical prevailing wind, which means it's all downhill with the wind on the way back!
But what about the submariner route? Do you not like submariners? I like submariners.
Stop staring at Submariner's genitalia.
every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.
Things I will suck at, once it finishes downloading:
Tribes: Ascend.
You kind of have to accept that you're just one man in a large game. You will only be able to have a small effect on wins or losses. Some roles (like the technician) will see you stuff entirely detached from the actual point scoring.
Also, Capture and Hold (the new game mode) is hilarious. It is just utter chaos.
It took quite a while for the game to click for me. I'm still shit though. Like all the weapons have weird non-newtonian mechanics that you have to learn in order to use.
This all sounds excellent to me, actually. And makes me question why I didn't pay more attention to this game earlier!
Looking at the Battleship trailer... man it really is a Transformers knockoff at sea. It's like a Sci-Fi channel movie. And (no offense to foreign countries) the fact an American "blockbuster" is being released in the US last means it's going to suck mightily.
I wish there was an option on these travel websites to say something like, "I want to leave at any point in this range of dates and I want to stay there for two weeks. FIND ME THE BEST PRICE!"

Any particular subset you're choosing to comment on, or just all of us?
we've been on par lately because of general economic woes and the perceived strength of the EU
stupid finance people with their pie graphs and bar charts.
If you kill us inside the internet, do we not die for real?

the CAD has been the USD's near-equal and periodic better for years
Gooey and tyrannus take affront to this, apparently
i was watching Fringe and the FBI lady asked some guy in a tearful, trembling voice, "who are you working for?"
my immediate response was, no joke, "that is definitely a subpar delivery of jack bauer's line."
sir i am not a scientitian but that sounds unhealthy
because it's half right and half wrong. the rates float at ~ 1, but looking at a 10 yr graph the dollar is almost always over the CAD
do a 10 year and look at how much of this graph is actually above 1, and thus "better"

i don't think you can say "for years"
you could say "for the last few years" sure
Sure, I'll fight Norway.
I'll fight Norway in a heartbeat. Anytime, any place. :P
Sure, but faithfulness to the books doesn't really seem to be what Steven Moffat is going for.

165,000 tonnes of gold has been mined in the history of humanity
165,000 tonnes = 5,304,873,180 troy oz
gold is currently ~1,700 per troy ounce
all gold ever mined is worth $9,018,284,406,000
US debt alone is roughly $15,500,000,000,000
this is why the gold standard is a bad idea
Everyone in Victorian London used an SMS system that projected what they were communicating in white text in the general area. Fact.
You could sell some of that empty land you have in the middle of your country to places at risk of climate change related flooding/sinking!
