Years ago I painted three dragon ceramic figurines I bought at a farmer's market. They are literally the only artistic thing I've done in my entire life that turned out any good. I've since lost one.

I should find the trio of them somewhere and paint all new ones.

Also I have gotten maybe like 20 minutes with my 14 week old puppy. But 10 of those where holding her while she slept in my arms. Puppies are pretty awesome like that.

cool. if possible a priming works better on less humid days but it's not a big deal.

For hair and cloth you can get some pretty vivid colors by painting ink directly onto white primer (or several layers of white paint on top of black primer to give a good opaque surface).

This will get you a more vibrant reds, yellows and greens than paint alone.

I found that dark red ink on a base of red paint gives a dark almost bloody look that works well for hair too.

Cass as someone else who is better at metal surfaces than hair: I was surprised at how well some gray hair I did looked when I did the basic layers of gray, gave a darker wash and then just barely kissed it with a dry brush with a little metallic paint

Suddenly the hair had this highlight sheen that looked really good (to a newb like me anyway)

Anyway I'd bet you could do the same with blonde->gold, brunette->rust, etc
