I watched the Tera quick look. I liked the amount of character customization (the animals are great), and I especially liked the combat, but dang if it ain't just another MMO.

I didn't expect Tera to avoid the traditional class/loot/quest progression system, but they've really got my attention with the combat as well. It's nice not having to click on mobs to select them so you can attack them and being able to completely dodge attacks is fun. It has that Diablo rush to it that I've been hoping 3rd person MMOs would approach.

One of my closer friends who I usually play mmos with got me Tera for my bday. Been playing it a good amount on a pvp server. The combat really is top notch. Being able to actively block attacks with your shield as a tank is boss as fuck. World pvp is fun, being able to talk to your opponent as you bop him on his head is delightful. Questing is the same as any other mmo, story is okay I guess. Graphics are sharp and everything moves pretty fluidly. Combat is what sells the game though.

Watching Sniper Elite V2. I like the slow, deliberate pace. I always play stealth/sniper guy, so it is like call of duty just for me

edit: I like, too, that stealth isn't required, just highly recommended. I hate stealth missions that are like "Welp, you got spotted. start over." I want to decide for myself whether I want to try again or go guns blazing.

you also need to remember that corporate doesn't necessarily mean "oh shit he said something bad punish"

The worst he's going to get is a smack on the wrist. If he was going to be reprimanded further it would be because they analyzed what happened and determined that there is the possibility for a substantial loss in readers and hits if they didn't punish him. Given that corporate people are generally smarter than the internet gives them credit for, I am going to assume that someone has figured out that punishing him in a severe way would result in more view loss than what he actually did, and consequently have decided that his apology is enough.

I'd say Terraria is muuuch more combat-focused than Minecraft, which is a lot more about exploration and building stuff.
