I just read the announcement that Microsoft is doing some big contests to kick in their new XNA system (the biggest of which has a $10k prize & a license to sell the game on XBLA) and I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm wondering what would be the best book to learn C#. I'm not completely clueless when it comes to coding, but I'm far from an expert. I took an intro to Java class several years ago in college and did really well in it, but as you can expect, I'm really rusty now. Something that starts from the beginning and eventually teaches me all of the basic tools I would need to make say a simple 2D 1 player turn-based game with save/load functionality would be great.
