But what if you have both a blanket and a quilt/doona on your bed?

There's rumors of rumors about and announcement announcing the announcement. So, that's at least something, right?

A blanket is a single piece of fabric. Everything else in this thread is multiple pieces sewn together and stuffed (minus the quilts).

A blanket is a thing that I sleep under and use to keep myself warm.

To be fair, as far as one may need be with blankets and other coverings of upholstery, many other things may be done under that thing that does not involve sleep.

comforter/doona/duvet is usually filled with cotton or down or something warm and goes on the top of other blankets.
blankets are one layer of a fabric.
quilts are patched from various pieces of fabric and are a type of blanket.
and snuggies should be burned on sight.

do we have an announcement of when the announcement will be announced beyond sometime today?

Ummm, later tonight... probs around 10 PM EST I'd say.

So this thing isn't like a major new GSL or Tossgirl's acceptance of my proposals (that wouldn't be a big announcement, that's more of a given).
It's just a small thing we're putting together, but we're pretty excited about it as it's taken a ton of work.

It can all still crash and burn before it starts though, so I wouldn't re-schedule your adamantium exoskeleton implant surgery if you have that lined up.

So yeah, it's a small thing, but fun, and hopefully we do a good enough job to look somewhat half-way competent.

Actually, this snuggie vs the world discussion has a lot more of my interest at the moment. And yes mvrck IS the 1%. He is that single 3-3 baneling that sneaks by your defenses and goes full frontal on your poor, hapless mineral line. :(

Oh yeah so my brother has all but confirmed for me that WCG is indeed going to become mobile phone games only unless the current core team of WCG people convince Samsung out of it. Apparently Samsung has decided that WCG would be a great way to advertise their phones and sell more phones, or some bullshit like that.

It's a terrible, terrible, idea, and the WCG team is attempting to get some of the major PC games to still be at WCG, but they really aren't sure how that will go.

See, WCG used to be extremely relevant. I just don't know what has caused their decline over the years.

What I do know, though, is that I'm almost certain that I could tell them exactly what they need to do to sort this shit out, single handed, if I had a chance to. From what my brother has told me about it all, it sounds extremely straightforward (though obviously easier said than done).

Fun Fact: Bit Torrents are flagged on our system, so I can't even use it to do anything useful. I had to download SC2 on my shitty speed at home. It's actually pretty damn sucky to have all this power at your fingertips, and the most exciting use for it is uploading 1080p research videos to Youtube.
