People like danny trejo because he is a cleaned up convict who turned his life around and fell into movies accidentally. His story is really cool and he is a very nice man.
I will take tlb's word on it, but he isn't a very good actor, he just has a great action presence on screen because he fucking did armed robbery for real and knows how to take control of a room.
By taking control I mean literally taking hostages.
the best part of machete is when the guy hears the weedeater fire up and is like "oh fuck this shit" and takes off
I still think the best part of Machete was the part where Machete was in the hospital, getting his wounds treated
Then heard a minute-long conversation between doctors talking about fixing some guys intestines, where they mentioned that the human intestines are 60 feet long
And then the bad guys come in and Machete needs to escape, so he stabs one of the baddies in the stomach, really yanks it into his guts
Pulls his guts out
And jumps out a window and rappels to the next floor
while I am glad dan's descriptions did it for ya'll
I am kinda disappointed you aren't going to have them happen unexpectedly
the beauty of this movie is when all those things happen they just...happen
and then something completely different with a completely different tone happens next
like everything that happens next is devoid of context and will never be looked at again
every sequence feels like it was made in a vaccuum
I think the best way to describe it is to take drive angry, black dynamite, hobo with a shotgun, homeless to harvard, and any lifetime original movie, put them in a blender but only chop them coarsely. then replace all thr actors with danny trejo.
