Snuck into the house, grabbed the VIP outfit, scaled a rain gutter outside the older guy's room, poisoned him, walked out, planted the mine around the corner of the house, snuck back to my suit, detonated the mine to distract the guards, then snuck down to the son. And nailed him.

Contracts and Codename 47 both have some great levels, but going back to either of them (especially 47) after playing Blood Money can be pretty fucking painful.

I think the next level is the one where I literally ran between two guards to the exit point with blood drenched murder axe in hand and somehow got the perfect rating because they didn't finish alerting. The level after is the one I think where I shouted, "I've had enough of this fucking bullshit" and just shot everyone for the rest of the game.

Then I vowed never to play another fucking Hitman game against because the people telling me Hitman was a good game series were clearly liars.

Did the Opera in Blood Money last night. Took a while to figure out the map but it was pretty great getting Silent Assassin on it.

Need to go back and redo the first level with the father/son, had a couple witnesses.

I've never figured out how to get into the light room on Opera.

Usually what I do is

climb to the top of the building, drop down a hole in the attic to a construction platform thing, wait for the spectator target to lean up against the balcony, shoot him in the head

then run down and plant the fake gun

Which is a very non-Silent Assassin way to do things.


I have no idea who holds the keycard to the light room, and I've killed plenty of folk to try to find out

Ah, what I did was

Drug the maintenance guy in the bathroom, grab his outfit, run downstairs by the coatroom, through a bunch of hallways and whatnot to get to the winch holding up the chandelier, plant the mine there, swap the guns, and hide in the upper floor of the operahouse. After the singer gets shot the other guy runs down the aisle to see him and stumbles, blow the mine and the chandelier crashes down on him. Gotta be careful not to hit anyone else, though.

walking up to the under construction gallery, knocking out the guard, sniping the actor in time with the music, turning and immediately shooting the other guy, then dropping the gun, running downstairs and leaving

If no one saw you, the weapon was silenced and you only killed the targets, that's silent assassin.

It has to be the jump cut dealy where it shows someone inspecting the body for it to count as 'discovering' a body. You have a short window of time before that happens to get out of dodge.
