Or dag, Jed, has developed a weird hacking cough. He only does it a once or twice a day and he's perfectly fine otherwise. He's off to the vet either today or tomorrow, hopefully it's nothing serious and/or expensive.
PICS!
He's a year or so younger in this picture than he is in the other ones
Um num num!
What most attempts at photographing him end up like.
Something's interesting just out of frame.
How my brother got him to hold still long enough to take this I'll never know.
This morning we had to put our pony to sleep after 12 years with him. I'm sitting at home having a good cry for myself but the cute doggies in this thread arr cheering me up.

As you can probably gleam by those pictures, Lando is amazing!
He's way happier sleeping in our room at the foot of out bed with us. We've been leaving him alone with pretty full reign over the main living area without incident, but we gate off the kitchen since that's where he seems to have all of his accidents. Something about tile vs carpet I imagine.

On the rare occasions our dog has an accident he will always do it downstairs on the concrete. Don't know why, but it's a hell of a lot easier to clean than carpet so I'm not going to complain.

Maybe you guys conditioned them enough for them to realize that "mess on carpet = bad!"?
I know before Spud passed, he would try and go outside, but he would basically just stick his head outside and go then go back to his bed.
Unfortunately his body was still inside when he did this...

He loves it! Which means we haven't stopped hearing it!
Mum's dog Elsie loves a good squeaky chew toy. One time a few years back we were on the front verandah at sunset and she was out there with us, chewing on the toy and vocalising her pleasure with it.
My puppies (10 months, 7 months) jump on people. A lot. Saying down doesn't work, and I've heard conflicting stories as to whether you push them down, or turn your back on them when they do it, but neither seem to really work.
We do the push/block and 'down' thing. They'll learn, but they're young and excited. They main thing is to be consistant about it, and don't reward/pat them when they jump up. Push them back onto the ground, pause with your hand out, palm facing them to show that that means 'hey, stop that' then give them a good patting.

I'm pet sitting for my parents this weekend. They have two dogs and three cats. One of the dogs is a four-month-old puppy and all of the other animals are in the double digits.
It'll be much easier once the puppy can no longer fit through the cat door. She keeps trying to eat their wet food even though it makes her sick.
Once she gets caught doing something wrong she flees and then will come find you a few seconds later for some impromptu cuddling.
One night I had this nightmare that I was in a furnace or having a horrible fever or something. I woke up and I was completely burning up. I feel around my head find our cat Levy curled up around it.

Ollie and Tucker are officially one year old today. Gonna royally suck when I leave them with my parents when I move to Japan in a month, but at least I've been able to be with them for this.
Edit: Aaaaand Tucker pooed on the carpet twice. Thanks buddy.

That's really sad news. Sorry for your loss. It sucks when our dogs leave us.

I am.
I tried changing pillows and I still woke up with her curled around the top of my head. I'm just happy that she's still pretty small.
