    I got a hotel today (the Sheraton even) but you had to get on that.

    I had a feeling about this. Glad I kept an eye on Twitter and the page. I offered to get badges for my friends but they didn't take me up on it. I sent them an e-mail letting them know they were on sale, so one of them got in but the other waited too long.

    i have a coworker that bought three or four passes to pax east this year with the intent to scalp them

    i chewed him out something fierce for it, but he had already sold them

    the only way i can think of doing it is to offer tickets in stages to members and past attendees ahead of the public. That would ensure a maximum likelyhood of real people and not scalpers would get the tickets they need.

    but one of the points of PAX was to be open and accessible, so I dunno if that solution works.

    @Blake T I live in NYC. If you need help finding a hotel, shoot me a PM. Not sure what your budget is like, but you could probably find a decent hotel in queens that is near the N/Q subway line that puts you only 20 to 30 minutes outside of the city. Could save you some scratch.

    Bumbershoot is the 1st through the 3rd

    The SAM is awesome, the zoo is pretty great and the aquarium is ok. The SAM's Asian Art collection is also fabulous but much harder to get to if you have to take the bus. Pike's Place is wonderful. Haven't done the Underground tour but I've heard it's fun, haven't been to the Space Needle but I've heard it's overrated. The Ballard Locks are nifty but would be about a 30 min busride from downtown.

    I'm all registered for PAX and BYOUC :) thanks to my boyfriend lol. Really can not wait! This is my 2nd time going and last year was really great! It would be nice if they had a rave or something like that but I doubt it lol.
