Having a bunch of kids in your session at LQ is usually great. They're usually all there together and they travel in a large pack. You don't even have to aim. It's like shooting fish in ab barrel, and then they all blame each other.

Honestly I think I just have a big mental fear about stopping. I feel I am that tall when I stick my skate into the ice I am just convinced I will tip over and eat the ice.

well then don't stick your skate in the ice! You don't jam your foot down like an anchor, you slide to a stop. You're angling your skates to create drag.

If you relax and accept that movement happens in an entirely different way on the ice you'll do fine.

I still practice falling and getting up because it is an integral part of the experience

Long story short: no not really ice skating relies heavily on getting the edges of your blade to work with you. And that doesn't really hold true for wheels

Well seeing as I am awesome at everything I do, I am now certain I can ice skate like an Olympic champion. In fact, lets combine the ice skating with karaoke and laser tag at once. You have to sing your victory kills while doing a spin.
