I still think Community is great but I guess I'll check out modern Family again. I watched most of the first season and wasn't particularly into it at all.

also tommy monaghan is amazing whenever he interacts with the main DC universe

he's a Vertigo guy but technically he lives in Gotham City and is in the same world as Superman/Batman/etc.

interesting. Port Royale 3 is out.

    #2 was pretty cool.

What you think "makes sense" has nothing to do with reality. It just has to do with your life experience. And your life experience may only be a small smidgen of reality. Possibly even a distorted account of reality at that. So what this means is that, beginning in the 20th century as our means of decoding nature became more and more powerful, we started realizing our common sense is no longer a tool to pass judgment on whether or not a scientific theory is correct. - Neil Degrasse Tyson

Someone linked me to a Feministing article about how the writer was at Starbucks and a guy touched her arm and said "You are so beautiful" and she gave him a withering look and then wrote 300 words about how it's unacceptable that he touched her and his words were offensive.

By the end of it, and especially after reading the comments, I was like "mother of god, am I the patriarchy?"

I should probably like, get my kitchen here stocked with the basic materials I'll find in stores in Japan and start practicing making some dishes at home.

I don't want to be stuck with just eating out and frozen foods as my only choices for health and cost reasons.

Daredevil has only sucked twice in the last like 15 years. The first time was issues like 20-25 written by Bob Gale during the previous run. Annnnnnnd when they let Andy Diggle crash the last run into the fucking ground.

    I'm so upset about that.

@Winky If you want self enclosed stories, The Astonishing X-Men is pretty good. If you want to skip Whedon (who writes pretty good comics) just start with Ghost Box. There are a 4 different Ellis story arcs.

Also I would say pick up Ultimate Spiderman. I hated Ultimate X-Men, but Spiderman was amazing. Just good stuff. Good art, good writing and a fun story. I haven't read the newest stuff but my dad has and he likes it.

If you want some older stuff, grab the Age of Apocalypse stuff. Some of my favorite X-Men stuff ever made. It is a world without Xavier and is very dark. But some great characters. Also it is where Blink comes from and I love Blink.

I am way out of the loop of the current stuff but I think I will dig up Uncanny for the last year if I get some money. X-Men are still my first love with comics.
