And then there was that scene where they view a recording of the events onboard the Event Horizon during its maiden voyage.

I want to hate people who prefer the Dawn of the Dead remake to the original but I haven't seen the remake so I guess I shouldn't.

    Event Horizon vs Sunshine

I tend to really like the Clive Barker-esque stylings of Event Horizon better than the Solaris-remake-crossed-with-2001 style of Sunshine. And the out and out horror of EH really tickled me pink. Sunshine ft like a hodge-podge of a lot of movies with EH being it's main inspiration.

oh my god this sentai show

there's a dog that talks. it's not a super dog. it's not an alien dog or a robot or anything. no a girl just taught her dog to speak english.

this is shortly followed by the bad guys striaght up murderating some civilians

and then they show a picture of a cheetah and say it's a panther

this show fucking rules, i can't wait to finish watching it

    i still haven't seen sunshine.

i finished EH - it's mostly carried by neill and fishburne and the art design, i think. at the beginning of the third act it turns into out and out gore and turns into a cartoon as a result

the last third of the movie has way more in common with mortal kombat than it does the shining

Sunshine is decent on a big screen, but I remember thinking I had just seen a greatest hits of my favorite Sci-Fi/horror movies and Dr Who episodes (up to that point). It's space horror

I've seen 28 weeks later, but I don't remember much aside from the premise (that they're trying to recolonize Britain or something). I'm pretty sure I saw the whole thing too.

    End on

One of, but there's competition. Monty Python and the Holy Grail, f'rinstence.

I mean, Aliens is one of the most tolerably quoted movies, but...

ehhh I don't know if Big L beats it. Big L certainly has its internet following, but I don't think it has the same mass popularity as Aliens
