My argument is that I would call Hollow Man, Showgirls and Basic Instinct of a lesser, trashier, rapier, ilk than Robocop, Total Recall, and Starship Troopers. Though, it's a lot harder to actually call Total Recall good when you listen to the Commentary. Oh, god, the commentary. We'll just ignore that for now.
Sir, the commentary track to Total Recall is a beautiful pearl made of central European accents.
The thing is, I haven't seen 28 Weeks Later because I know it's going to be bad, but I had to own it because I love Robert Carlyle. I mean the guy is in some shitty ass movies, but he's fantastic.

Alien3 has the single creepiest moment of the entire franchise - the bandages getting stained in the intro. Eeeurgh.
I'll answer that completely honestly. When we made 28 Days Later, the rights were frozen between a group of people who are no longer talking to each other. And so, the film is never going to happen unless those people start talking to each other again. There is no script as far as I'm aware.
The opening of 28 Weeks later is brilliant, but the rest of the film is pretty awful. The full opening isn't on youtube, but watch the first 2 minutes of this video
I haven't seen 28 weeks later. Is it better or worse than Land of the Dead as far as disappointing sequels go?
I'd say worse. It makes better use of its production value than Land did, but it's got this utterly empty, sort of nihilistic understanding of its characters. I'd actually put Land of the Dead on par with Day of the Dead in terms of missing the mark, though, so it wasn't a huge disappointment in that regard. I think if there were a way to stitch together the good parts of Land and Planet Terror, you'd have a pretty decent call back to earlier successes of the genre, in a similar fashion to what 28 Days Later did with its homage but with an emphasis on the campier indulgences.

Never seen Princess Bride and never will, I wager
Monty Python's Holy Grail may have been quoted to death, but don't let that stop you from watching Life of Brian at some point
In case you haven't watched Dog Soldiers, this synopsis should do it: British soldiers on a training exercise in the Scotish Highlands have to fend of an attack by werewolves.
It is one of my all-time favourite movies.
Also, the official trailer sucks, so here have a fan trailer:
Has anyone pointed out how Alien 3 is essentially about the opposite of the female empowerment thing the first two movies were about? About how the movie is woman crashes into perfect male utopia and immediately destroys it?

If so, carry on.
i don't think it's coherent enough in its gender politics to support this
but i can deffo see a grounding for the argument in the religious overtones of the film
The men at the penal colony lived a perfectly peaceful existence free from sexual temptation
then Woman comes down and immediately turns men into rapists and brings death to their utopia. She must have her head shaved, symbolic of taking away her sexual attractiveness so she can't go around tempting Man
the movie ends with Woman (along with Hatching Woman coming out of her chest) being destroyed, saving Man
The only good thing about Resurrection was that the shot where Ripley just casually tosses the basketball behind her and it gets nothing but net actually happened, even though the ball went out of frame it really was a perfect shot.

Yup. You can just barely see Ron Perlman starting to cheer right before it cuts.

Where the zombies show up again but this time everyone dies because they're too old to run away.

Prometheus probably gonna steal that with this;
Then Alien3 will have nothing.
I wish 28 Months/Years later would happen, but that doesn't appear likely.
