[Prime] The 2nd Annual Pre-Pax Hookah Meetup!

Hey Paxer's! Its that time again! With pax sold out this year, if your local we welcome you to join us!

The Info-
This is an 18+ event. It is a smoking event, but you do not need to partake!
We are currently having a change of venue, since the Cobra Lounge has had to close it's doors. It sucks, but eh, what can you do!
Date-> Thursday, August 30th (the night before pax)
Time->8ishpm-2am
Where-> Still workin on this!
Cost-> Expect $20-30 tops, but if a group comes assume less (just entry fees plus a bowl to share)
What to bring-> Photo ID (a must if you do not have a membership card) Games! Wireless devices! (it may be wi-fi'd). We can all chip in and just get a selection of bowls to sample as the night goes on. If you can only afford the $5 to get in, no worries

Games being brought (tenative, it can change): Settlers, Zombie Dice, Munchkin, Super Munchkin, M:TG decks.

Can you remind me, do they maintain a strict "Hookah only" policy or are we allowed to bring our own Cigars, Pipes, what have you? (All Tabacco! I swear! I'm just very Missourian so I smoke a Corn Cob Pipe)
Not sure if I can go (the wife doesn't like it when I smoke.) But my pipe smoking buddy is coming so it's 2 against 1!

its a hookah only place... but if you bring it, we can step out and smoke it. I would be down to puff a cigar or a pipe again!
and there is a public lot immediately out the front door. its like 6 bucks for the whole night... so its not a bad deal. saves you from walking a long ways.

No, the events usually stay on the first couple pages since there's usually activity within their threads.

BTW theres no issue if you show up late. If you show up an hour before we wrap up, cmon in! If you can only stay for an hour, we would love your presence for that hour! This is a very loose event, come and go is no prob, neither is a late arrival. I showed up almost 2 hours late last year and i edited the OP with a facebook event link.

I would be interested in going (and most likely my husband as well) and could bring Settlers. And I'll most likely have my M:tG decks with me if anyone wanted to play.

Im down for some MTG, but i havent played in ages and trust me, im REALLY rusty. Ill always be down for settlers, anytime, anywhere. I will also be bringing my copies of Munchkin (with numerous expansions) and Super Munchkin (with the Great S Cape expansion), and Zombie dice. I will update the OP with games!

Glad to see we have interest in this event once again. I've already been informed that a lot of the familiar faces we met last year, won't be attending this year, due to tickets selling out in the first day, but if you're in the area, and just feel like meeting some other gamers up for a smoke, roll on through. Last year, a buddy and I supplied laptops with fighting games set up, to help keep things going, on top of the board and card games that were also brought, so if there is a demand for that, we'll do it again... I just recently moved out to the Washington area, and Seattle isn't too far of a drive, so if I can, I'll attempt to answer questions anyone may have.

I went to this last year and I am very excited to do it again this year. If your on the fence about it and you look at smoking and think to yourself, " Well it does look cool but my lungs are nice and untarnished." I will tell you this. Smoking is cool (as long as you are old enough to make the decision legally) and everybody kicks the bucket eventually and then some other guy will get your lungs, and he will wreck them. Well screw that guy you should start smoking, and there is no better place then here.

Still getting my plans lined up, but I can not WAIT to see all of you for this awesome event. BTW, what other events are people planning to attend during the weekend? I plan on attending the PPH, PPP, EAP, and the Cigar meetup as well.

I went last year and was pretty shy at the beginning, but eventually you all made me feel very welcome and had a good time! Unfortunately, I will not be attending the hookah this year but I encourage many of you to go!

Huh, that's a bit different from our initial setup. I take it this venue doesn't allow for "outside hookahs" to be brought in?

Not being able to get a byoc pass for the last while, this would be easier than bringing it back and forth from there to the smoking area outside.

no, they do not, but they have some awesome pipes in the lounge! They also do not allow for "green" bowls. But if you walk outside and take your meds... no body will care just dont do it inside.

Always been interested in hookah as an avid clove smoker, but never really had the chance to try. I'll say put myself and two others as a maybe since we'll be checking into our hotel that day. If we do come, I'll be sure to bring an extra set of zombie dice, some ipad board games including ticket to ride, life, and monopoly, and possibly cards against humanity.

Does anyone smoke clove cigars? I'll probably have a full pack if anyone cares for one. But I warn you mine are usually vanilla or black cherry.

they're still looking at a couple places we will have a location announced by the end of the next couple days they're saying so far da hookah spot is looking like the best option according to the facebook event page...
