Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

Oh, I love the planes, but if we wanted a carbon copy of Planescape, we'd just play Planescape.
The Cradle is more like, in D&D cosmology, the Plane of Concordant Opposition. I assumed the planet/s are the equivalent of the Prime. We don't seem to have planes of that sort, anyway.
Also: update your wiki pages!
Power: Greater deity
Domains: Chaos, Illusion, Luck, Trickery, Hope
Portfolio: Imagination (primary), faerie-kind (major), hope (major), chaos (minor)
This is the most important stuff at the moment, figured I'd post it here to see if anyone has any real problems with these.
Domains are a DND thing, and I pulled them from this list: http://realmshelps.dandello.net/cgi-bin/domainform.pl (domains are basically special sets of spells available to one's clerics.)
Before we create any of the lower life forms, we should probably flesh things out a bit - more seas on the orb, more godhomes in the cradle (for those who want them), etc. There're also the shadow and fairy realms that Jacques and Salt are making. If it's not natural, though, we can always fill in stuff later - underworlds will probably have to wait until we have intelligent mortals, for example.

I'm not coming up with any bright ideas for what Cable wants to do next, so uh... someone do something that isn't idle.
Does anyone plan on ever making life?
Last time we ended up with sort of elemental-type things under the gods' control before actual life, didn't we? I think this is a good idea. It gets things moving, and will also provide some incentive to make the orb more hospitable to living things.
I've created the Sar. They're giant crystaline spheres (about 60 meters in diameter) that fly through the air. They have a high intelligence (albeit one that would be distinctly alien to people like us), and a burning curiosity. In later ages, they will often appear and survey the workings of other lifeforms. They are insanely dangerous (to mortal types) but extremely hard to rouse to anger. There are seventeen of them, and they do not reproduce. If they are all shattered, that will be the end of them. They have free will up to a point, but Solar can and will override that if circumstances dictate the need.
Edit: The Solar's wiki entry has been updated. Thanks for taking care of the Sar, ArrBeeBee(?).
Rank: Somewhere in between Major and Minor status at the moment
Titles: the Cureall, Tranquility, PeaceGrower, Surefire
Symbol: On the simplified end of things, a gentle concave up line representing the calm, stable earth, on the more complicated end, a set of scales or an intricate but balanced pattern of vines stretching out to eight evenly spaced points.
Alignment: Neutral. He is a calm, pleasant god with no particular animosity towards any other deity. At least, not yet.
Portfolio: Rest (major), Calmness (major), Earth (minor)
Seriously though, Ak'tar is the plane of shadows and I've made it kind of represent the darker side of existence in the Sphere, and it is currently unchecked by other forces.
So I have actually no idea whatsoever what you were actually doing.
I was under the impression that balance and judgment were under Eternal's domain. Not too mention "good" and "evil" are pretty subjective.
Cable is not pleased with this at all.
That's cool. Just let me think of a name and I'll get right to it.
Suuure... we seem to be skewing 'nasty' though. We already have an evil death God and a bunch of other sinister fellows. Ah well.
It's a severe thing one way or the other, but I'm not certain which.
Heh sorry, I was just trying to say that I created this plane of shadows, but without some balancing force it is basically uncontrolled darkness.
A god of good or evil..while not so easily defined, you could craft your own moralities.
I'll come back with more ideas after I drink a bit.
Trust me, if I wanted to science it up I'd make a God of Evolution or a God of Quantum Physics/String Theory.
