I've been holding off on this until I had time to screw around with the demo for a bit.
Determinance
Determinance, by Mode 7 Games, is a 3D sword fighting game for the PC.
Combat relies heavily on the mouse--moving your mouse moves the sword. You can use the scroll wheel to angle your sword (either by clicking and dragging or scrolling), and control the camera by holding the right mouse button. Damage varies based on the body part hit. By positioning and angling your sword correctly, you can block attacks.
The game has a bit of single player content (mostly unavailable in the demo), but obviously the focus is on multiplayer.
A demo is available at their site
here, but the full game costs $20. Unless you have the full game, you can only stay connected to the server for a limited amount of time.
Try it out, it's pretty interesting.

...Do I have to say what everyone else in the thread is going to say?
The Jaguar.
Make for Wii, lol?
The controls are pretty straigtforward for the most part, but angling effectively is taking me some time. I've been trying to get the hang of it in the arcade mode, but I think it's going to take some serious practice for it to become second nature.
edit: They are a pretty small indie group, so it's probably sticking with the PC for the foreseeable future.
Game & Watch?
Edit: Why did I have to click 10 times before I could download it?
Except Nintendo's new shitbox. Can I get a "gimmick?!
If I wasn't laughing I would say thats one step too far.
The concept is neat, though.
The sword trail itself causes damage as well, so take advantage of that. Use the turorial and practice in the arcade if you haven't already.
Also, I officially like this game a lot. It's nice to actually get some people to play at this time.
edit: Actually, was that you guys?
Hopefully it isn't a thousand pounds of mediocre, like Gunz.
Also, this should be changed to [GAME ON].
EDIT: I'm so incredibly answered right above me. Also, we know it's good because it's got Inverse kinematics.
If you thought Gunz was mediocre, you're going to be disappointed. It's a really neat idea, but needs a bit of work.

Not much to say it really is pretty generic. Hard to control too. The sword mouse could use some work as you often end up swinging in random directions that dont reflect where you actually moved the mouse.
I never asked for this!
Yup you did! that was nifty.
EDIT: How long till demo time lets me back in?
Well, to be fair, I dug the shit outta Gunz for a fairly long time. It's just the gameplay gets stale after a while.
And I probably shoulda mentioned I meant the screenshots, not the actual game mechanics description.
That's Torque for you. How anybody can even make a game with it is beyond me.
It runs fine for me. I was getting at least 40 frames a second.
But I seriously thought it was going to crash the second it started, it was acting funky. I was thinking "Wow, that hasn't happaned to me in a long time."
In the end, there can be only one.
