When the conditions require it, they will overcome one portion of a stereotype to satisfy another.
Since the freeway was virtually barren and she was behind me, she had no choice but to speed up and plow into me for no reason at all.
She claimed she was going to a funeral and 'tired', but I'm pretty sure she was chatting with her stupid friend and not even watching the road. I remember the light was on inside her car. Maybe she was reading a Harry Potter book or something and got too engrossed to think about piloting her vehicle.
I've been in two accidents, neither hurt anyone at all except made me look like a giant douche 'cause they were both pretty much my fault
First time I was doing 35 on my motorcycle, lady stopped in front of me suddenly, no room to swerve to another lane but I had plenty of room to stop so I hit both brakes OOPS FORGOT THE RECENT RAIN. Guess it didn't occur to me that roads tend to stay wet and greasy for a while even if the rain stops :x
Went into a skid and had to jump off to keep my knee from getting crushed since I knew I couldn't recover, ruined both mirrors and my engine casing, but the bike ran okay, so hey yo
Second one is considerably more embarrassing but less interesting, someone parked with the back of their pickup in front of our driveway one night and I didn't notice it until the next morning when I backed into it. No damage to his truck except skewing the back out from the curb by a foot, but naturally I screwed up my fender

I've had my motorcycle license for about two years, now. But I can't bring myself to buy a bike, yet. I know I would be super careful while driving, but I really can't speak for anyone else.
The first one I was six and in the back seat of the car when the tire blew out and we went spinning into a ditch and took out a mailbox.
The second I was driving to work in conditions that were shitty. I came around the corner in my Ranger and hit a patch of ice. Spin City from there. I bounced the ranger off of two trees and planted the passenger side of the vehicle into another. If I would have had a passenger they would have been dead was what the trooper said. Then this asshole has the balls to ask me if I was wearing my seat belt.

i would be terrified to drive a motorcycle there too

i bought a pt cruiser today
it's for my wife
it was between that and a focus sedan
i was surprised at how well the focus handled, but my wife preferred the cruiser after she test drove it
shit
now i'm thinking of getting a focus
the cruiser is blue
like really blue

I have a 2003 focus.
Don't buy a focus.
Fucking FORD piece of shit.
really
are you having problems maintenance wise or does it just start falling apart after a while?
it test drove real well
didn't have much style to it, but drove real smooth
i can see how it might start falling apart though
didn't seem to be built too sturdy, but felt nice
the other car i test drove was a stratus and that car drove the best of them all
great handling, smooth ride, nice pick up and go, it was just bigger than what i was looking for. i already have a saturn sedan and wanted a compact car for my wife
or else i would have gotten the stratus
Starfuck on

Handles great like you said, reliability's good, interior's comfortable and every thing's laid out nicely.
One look at the PT Cruiser's rear suspension should tell you you don't want the thing. A solid rear 'axle' verses the Focus's four point independent multi-link.
Thant and dear god the PT Cruiser is ugly.
Also, if for no better reason that who knows who's going to own Chrysler in a few months.
i'm thought of exchanging it today
they were exactly the same price, so it should be easy if I wanted to
i had a chance to drive it couple of hours yesterday and it wasn't as rough a drive as when we test drove it
it's ultimately my wifes decision.
My wife just reminded me why we didn't get the focus.
No headroom. Felt like my head was going to hit the ceiling if I hit a bump and felt a bit claustrophobic.
A tight interior all the way around. Just didn't seem as roomy as we liked.
Air conditioning smelled like farts. ?? It did smell.
It came down to a space factor and she likes the cruiser
so the cruiser it is

Legitimate reasons. I'm 6'4", and I don't mind the head room so much. I am however thin and flexible, so I probably haven't noticed if the interior is smaller.
At least you didn't buy it because of "HUR HUR FORD SUCKS HUR."

Let's see. I'm at about 110K (Km, so 68 350 miles or so).
Went in for my 40K service which was expensive enough. Ford guy says I need new front brakes and at 40K I also need new rotors. They wanted around $450-500 to do the front brakes. I did it myself for about $120 (including the rotors) and while doing it noticed that I still had about 30% left on my brakes.
At about 60K, the ignition switch broke. Put in the key, and it won't turn. Apparently this is a VERY common issue and FORD refuses to deal with it. Ask the tow truck drive when he shows up, chances are he's seen it many times before. Also, the replacement one from FORD apparently suffers from the same flaw so I'm just counting the days (this can apparently be fixed by a locksmith coming out to fix it but sometimes you don't have a week to track one down to find). Total cost of that was about $500.
Then there are the small things that make it clearly a domestic product. Back seat latches that never lock right, rear wiper that pops off the motor sometimes. Seat adjustment lever that falls off.
Between this car, and the Chevrolet I drove before, I'll never buy another domestic car. When a 1990 honda crx with 250,000km on it is holding together better than a 3 year old well taken care of car...

Did you look under the driver seat? There is a dealie to adjust the seat height. I'm 6'2" and have always had ample headroom.

Not in the Scarlet St fantasy way though. The bad way.
How the hell does this happen?
I never got to hear why the lady from my accident smashed into me on the open road.
Those don't go over 40 on the freeway. :P

and then when i tried to reposition the car some stupid mourning fuck steps out in front of me.
I badly panicked.
I didn't like it
AAAAAAAH. I can drive, but I hate it so.
No injuries to either of the drivers, one dead passenger.

I was in a Hyundai Elantra with 3 other passengers.
I ended up sitting on the console with the truck's headlight about 4 inches away from my face.
If I'd been wearing my seatbelt the truck would have ground my pelvis into dust.
As it was I walked away without a scratch.
You won't see that in any commercials.
It's not like there's a substantial amount of people who die from seatbelts
(compared to how many lives they save)
HOLY SHIT
I'm watching it thinking "gosh this is boring"
and then BANG

You guys, I've seen movies.
Seatbelts just get stuck when you get into an accident with a propane tanker or zombies.
Seatbelts are for suckers.
all i saw was the aftermath but this red car was crushed up so bad you coulda fit two of them on a couch
theres no way the driver lived through that one
i didn't even see the other car. from the looks of it, it had to have hit something huge like a cement truck goin at least 70
I've been meaning to tell you, you're not really that good. I never feel safe, inside or out of the car.
