i could go to sleep
this was god damn adorable
is that the sort of thing that happens in online sessions?
we were like that a good amount back when i used to play Streets consistently. and I miss it, fool
Right now I'm making a reference card with common setups and safe oils for each matchup, because damn hakan uses a lot of setups that are different for each character.
it's a shame people don't really play Honda anymore. Because that is a matchup you can really control if you put in enough time to the option selects and such
Therefore not getting cardinal inputs
And not getting SVDs out >: (
Starting oiled at least gives you a chance to seize momentum
Can just jack a 360 controller in, right?
Also, Zero / Nova / Vergil is sick. Vergil is still a fraud for me, but damn is it weird having an assist that can actually get across the screen now.

if its wireless you need a receiver since the charging cable for wireless controllers doesn't actually transmit any data

I have different cables to connect through USB. But it sounds like Bison hate exists, which is silly

this was pre-2012, so some things may be different, but I can't imagine they've gotten any worse
at the end are the option-selects I was referring to that, once you get a knockdown, shut down every one of Honda's wakeup options
for those of you following along, hakan can cancel his dash into a normal attack when he is oiled. this is tremendously powerful, especially if you focus attack, dash cancel, cancel into a normal. he can combo from level 1 focus, and can just rush you down and stick to you like Abel and his step kick.
For two meters, you can j.rh, towards+strong xx crisco xx cr.mk xx fierce slide, splash followup for 361 damage and 450 stun
That's crazy
ah, the terminology in the video i watched might have been wrong then.
the pressure you can create with those dash cancels is enormous, but 361 damage doesn't seem like much off a jump-in with two bars, honestly - most characters can output about 320 off a jump-in with no meter. Obviously it's a lot more than Hakan's normal combos will do, but it seems like he'd be better off saving the meter for invincible grabs, fast EX slides to punish fireballs, even a super to punish neutral jumps and etc.
The stun is pretty huge, though, there is that.
i need to work on command grab setups now too
but i picked up yun cuz i've always liked him too, and i wanted to keep things fresh
i usually cycle rose>yang>yun when i play ranked
The comparable combo without crisco is 300, 380. I wouldn't do it if I only had 2 meters, but if I was sitting on 3+ on game point, that's a fairly significant boost.
do c.mp links and palm when people are just letting you do it?
there's not really command grab setups imo, you just have to pick up when you have worn someone down mentally enough to where they are going to block and that means you can scoop them.

so should i be ticking with jab? i've never really been sure how to know when a good time to try a command grab is unless i'm an actual grappler
I actually don't recommend always going for shoulder against experienced players because it's actually punishable (albeit tight).
You can do approximately 2 jabs from deep and still be able to land a command grab, though if you don't start up close you'll have to use EX for extra range. You can also frame trap with c.mp and do an immediate grab. If you cancel the last active frame its like a 3f window to escape.
Online, you can't train people, because they aren't thinking, so just do command grabs if they show they don't like to press buttons while being pressured. If they do like to press buttons (that aren't DP) you can do block string-dive kick and if they like to DP just do what you would with anyone else and jab-jab-block.
Another easy one is you can grab people on their wakeup if they don't press buttons. Save it for when you have genei jin though.

if you put the jab jab strong in fast enough, which my fingers tend to be, sometimes my strong doesn't came out cuz i hit it too fast and it's sad, you can hit with lp shoulder and you're +2
but mainly i end with kicks, yes
sweet! thank you, because it's even more important for yang, i feel, who has the opponent in blockstun a lot, but has more trouble getting a touch in, from my experience
and i can see how to apply it to him too
so thanks!

Very likely. Supercade may keep it, though. They still have 3s
