Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Hey all. Gonna try to start another drawing thread for myself. Hopefully I can update pretty regularly to make constant progress.
Comments and constructive criticism are always welcome. I've never been particularly talented, but one essential trait I have towards becoming a better artist is I can take criticism.
My goal is to become a comic artist, working on my own books, or just on the web. Right now my focus is on drawing fundamentals and digital painting, but I'll definitely be adding comic-related stuff as this goes on.
These were all from reference, about 10 minutes apiece, Photoshop:
And this is one of the sketches that I spent about twenty minutes rendering:
I can see a lot of problems with these, but I'd love to hear what you think I can improve on.
EDIT:
Adding the reference so you can see what I was working from:

Mastery is the result of ceaseless error, combined with ruthless self-appraisal.
Sometimes try and flip the drawing. That girl you're rendering for example, has a super skewed face.
What the hell is with that anyway. It feels like it only happens while digital painting, it has gotten to the point where I have a hotkey for flip horizontal I press every 10 seconds.

Check your posture, belive it or not, the position of your paper/tablet, and how you face your paper/monitor will make things go skewed, or misproportioned. I always make some straight vertical lines before drawing, just to make sure I can get straight lines while in a relaxed position, and I use guide lines.
Thanks for the tip m3nace. I always forget to do that, and it always bites me.
Overtime everyday at work for the foreseeable future, so have to get my drawing in when I can.
Since my last batch was pretty much all quick drawings, thought I'd try a longer piece.
A celebrity from reference, about 90 minutes. Won't say who, but I forgive you if you don't get it. I'm not sure I captured the likeness very well.
As always comments and crits welcome.

This one came out really bad, spent way too much time trying to fix the mistakes. One of those times when you feel like you've forgotten how to draw or even see things correctly. Just cutting my losses and moving on to the next.
2hrs in Photoshop, from reference:
On a side note, it is hard as hell to find a good reference photo for this actress. All of her photos are soft as hell with very few shadows or interesting light.
