Maybe dirty the white into a bone color? Bone/red/black works pretty well though I may be a little biased.
I vote white.
Also, I would have gone from white to bone, but the girlfriend has appropriated my bone colors for her Roman Legionaries that she picked up from the hobby store.
edit: And my reds, bright blues and greens.
Everything. He was a stupid character dreamt up by an out-of-touch dipshit for his terrible shitty movie. Aso rape tends to not be a good thing either.
Seriously. He gets shot by a Jedi.
Finished my Necron Lord
Horrible everything is a pretty good place to start with Dark Eldar. But In general yes agreed, the big G was an abomination of a character.
I really do think that the white scheme is much better though. I've seen a couple of White Dark Eldar armies and they can look spectacular.
Also Dayspring, that dude is purdy.
Now do MORE.
I just finished some scarabs. pics tomorrow when the sun reappears
If anyone cares, they're up for sale
Gotta pay for that Reaper Kickstarter somehow
Jaysis, I painted him in 1998 or so. I think he's the only decent model of the original Dark Eldar line. The old Incubi are OK apart from their dunce helmets.
Because I was young, and could overlook stupid helmets for a time.
But not the awful wyche models. Or the bad stretch-y Archon face. Or any number of the other models in that line.
Assless chaps and leather shirts with the nipples cut out.

So far I've only primed these two and blocked out the gray on the big guy.
Hope these turn out well, never painted something this small.

I've got one of these: Storm Strider.
The right front leg, the one which doesn't rest on the base, stay securely attached to the body. I tried scoring the contact points before applying super glue, when that didn't work, I tried pinning. I got the pin a little off-center, so it won't fit snugly in the socket, and the leg came off again.
I've got P3 super glue, a pin vice, and grey stuff to work with. What can I do to help keep the leg attached?
I have it but I have never used it because I cannot find the cans of air nor a cheap pump to use

You've got all the tools you need. If you pinned it a bit off center, use a bigger bit on one side, then fill in the hole with grey stuff. Then push the other piece in with the pin in it and it will displace where the pin should go.
Just need to clean up a few oopsies and then finish the Doom Siren, and he's done!
Still can't tank non blurry photos worth a damn. Anyway here are the test minis (still unfinished) of Raptors.
The blending is a bit rough, but they ARE disposable AoBR marines and I'm pretty happy for maybe 2 hours work on each. As you can see, one of them has had a touch of weathering powder. I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out so far, but I think I'll have a play with different shades and see what happens.
Been trying to hit the right balance of grey/dark fur and finally I got something I'm happy with. I got three more to paint, and then they'll be running with my mounted Iron Priest into battle.
I'm running dangerously low on classic washes, so I really hope to get this rapped up before I do.

Thanks for the tip. I've tried it out, and It's holding great so far.
Reaper is probably my favorite paint line right now; though their metallics and high pigment paints are not as good as GW's in my opinion.
They lend themselves well to both simple and advanced techniques.
At home I probably have close to 150 different paints and only one of them is Reaper, but that's just because I can get other brands easier than Reaper.
I did a painting workshop about a year ago and the owner wanted me to only use paints that were available in his store (so he could make money). All he had was Reaper's paints. I agreed, as long as he would give me some time to play with the paints and see how they work. They work just as well as any other miniature paints I've used, and a couple of their colors I like better than other brands.
My favorite part about the Reaper system is their Triad design- they group most of ther colors in sets of 3 so that you know what to use for your base, shadow, and highlight. It makes it a little easier on beginners.
I'm getting the set of brand new paints through the Kickstarter- I'm always looking for new reds to use, and the new vampire skin triad looks pretty cool, plus a new alternate black color is always welcome.
