I have to say the short promos for Regular Show don't seem that great, but then the same could be said for Adventure Time. Really need an entire episode for the humour to work.
The promos for this show are deceptive. Basically the plot for any episode boils down to this
1) Normal, every day accident/issue arises.
2) Rigby fucks it up worse.
3) Things go insane. Quickly.
The promos only really show 1 or 2, 3 is where the magic of the show's writers comes out.

Watch the whole series so far. There are episodes where Rigby doesn't make the situation worse. That isn't a plot point that is in every episode.

It's at least a minor plot point in 95% of the episodes I've seen so far. It's just lucky that Vincent and Skips's reactions make it worth it every time.
But yeah sometimes I wonder why they don't just collectively kick the shit out of Rigby.

For a while Regular Show was just the irritating ad at the end of Adventure Time for me. That "makin' viral videoooos" clip looked so terrible.
Walked in on one of the "oh no bro" moments and was sold.
I really don't get why a person would come into a thread about a certain topic just to put down the topic and those who enjoy it.
