- go to one of those civil war maps
- learn the location of all stormcloak camps
- visit them: don't do anything, just unlock them for fast travel
- obtain dragon
- go on skyrim stormcloak murder tour from the skies
I wonder how crime works from the back of a dragon. if you fly to a town and order your dragon to attack a guard, does that count as assault? would they even try to make that charge stick?
Good idea but the dragon combat is SO BORING OH GOD
In a related note, what makes them send hit squads after you? I hadn't done anything to them as far as I could tell, and they started sending goons after me.
also who is to say what the next elder scrolls game will be about
they haven't exactly been predictable
standard assemble-the-bits-and-defeat-the-wizard plot led into
political intrigue and giant robot

no game follows from any previous one, and I wouldn't be surprised if the thalmor weren't present at all in the next elder scrolls game, or if they maintained a diminished background role with the landfall thing resolved in the same ways it was introduced (obscurely)

yeah, that's what I'm saying
they haven't exactly set a precedent of laying the groundwork for one game in the previous one
I yearn for TESVI: Elsewyr but it just won't happen with bethesda's current campaign of aggressive suppression of the beast races
I'd hazard a guess at high rock or hammerfell, with high rock being more likely in my mind simply because I'm pretty sure it doesn't have dwemer ruins and I'm sure bethesda is as aware as everyone else that the dwemer need to go back into the toybox for a little while
Had it been known what happened with the Snow Elves before this game? I imagine people going "oh boy! Snow Elves for Skyrim!" were, uh, disappointed when they found their first Falmer cave.

But the Thalmor really are like, the perfect villains. They're just so hateable. And all Skyrim really does is introduce them, making everyone yearn for Thalmor genocide. Plus, they're pretty important within the Landfall metaplot, aren't they? Knocking over towers and whatnot. If that ever becomes a main quest you'd pretty much have to involve Thalmor and the destruction thereof.
the thing about this landfall plot is that I have played an incomprehensible amount of skyrim and in none of it did I find any references to this whole landfall thing, not spoken by any character, not written in any book
which leads me to believe it is either extremely subtle and developed out of a mere handful of points or it derives from developer forum postings (like the trial of azura, etc) and thus represents a fun little extra for super devoted fans
and when people suggest that bethesda is going to take this plot and develop it into an entire numbered game release, I just have to roll my eyes

what about one of the very first books you find in the starting dungeon that talks about towers being deactivated and the wheel turning upon the last dragonborn

i think they could do a beast race land if the coupled it with a more standard area, so they put two provinces into a game at once. it'd be a nice back of the box quote to say it's bigger than skyrim, and it'd mean they could explore a more alien region with beast races but still start you off in a more standard environment.
except tamriel isn't really set out like that, annoyingly: there's no places that haven't been done in a recent game that would be a good contrast to elsweyr or black marsh. unless they started you off in post-apocalyptic, argonian-liberated morrowind and had you venture into black-marsh on occasion to get eaten alive by flies

The Elder Scrolls games are more often about supernatural things than mere mortal conflicts

the main quest is about making the summerset isle disappear again

That would be cool too, but they've done 3 DLCs already
how many more do they have in them?
Somebody mentioned that an alliance between the Thalmor and Jyggalag might explain the former's organizational skills

and once it triggers it's not something you can really ignore to go do side quests
has a certain ring to it
I think Dich said somewhere in this thread that Bethesda said they're going to do at least one more big one
well 2.25
As evidence by the game jam
Possibly several

as long as they don't bring back ayleid ruins
technically they're all repeats since you could go literally everywhere (except Akavir) in Arena
featuring monsters and characters from prior elder scrolls games and some new features
Forgot where i read it though.
also the mmo

I: patriotic prisoner
II: agent of the Emperor
III: the Nerevarine
IV: another prisoner

dragon-induced end of the world or worldwide blight storm / akhulakhan induced end of the world
I've always considered them false gods
But, still, a ridiculous feat (also, it's 2-3 "gods")
