BIOS Problem

HacksawHacksaw J. Duggan Esq.Wrestler at LawRegistered User regular
So I'm trying to get into the BIOS on my motherboard, but my computer apparently boots to fast for me to be able to do so. I have tried hammering the Del key, pressing and holding from boot, and everything else I can think of. I'm at the end of my rope here. Please help?

I'm using an ASUS Z77, for reference.

    I'd try a PS/2 keyboard.

I'd unplug all of your disk drives (on the motherboard side, assuming that it's easier to reach). That should allow you to hit Delete without anything trying to boot.

Also, it looks like there is a USB thumbdrive BIOS updater that's bootable, on the website. You could try and see if that works. Again, I'd recommend disconnecting at least your main system drive so it has the chance to boot.

I'm unique. Just like everyone else.
