    The pain doesn't give the nausea, that's actually completely separate.

    Some people can get nausea without pain, even. I go the other way.

    Those are the only kind I get.

    Which made me feel kind of bad for the dozen guys who slept near where I was vomiting on a sub.

    You might be grinding your teeth in your sleep. Buy a cheap mouth guard for sports and wear it at night and see if it stops, then you can get a not-totally-awful one from a dentist if you find it helps.

    I had the same problem for years, and finally figured out what it was when I broke a tooth in my sleep :/
