To me, Soso is a poorly written character on a show full of fantastic characters.

I haven't finished the season yet though so maybe my opinion will change.

    Soso ain't poorly written, she's a very astutely-written obnoxious

I've 100% known girls exactly like her

i've known people a lot like her, but that's no excuse. There are other ways of having a naive newbie to contrast with current Piper.

I think the thing that demonstrates her needless irritation levels is that unlike every other character on the show, I have no interest in her backstory.

If they can make me give a shit about why she's in jail, instead of just hoping someone smothers her with a pillow, then I'll give them real props.

Fine, she's a properly written obnoxious character then.

yeah pornstache always felt more like a plot device than a character.

I started to come round on Pennsatucky at the end of S2 when she
decided to get down with the Gay Agenda.

I just finished S2E8, and at the end:
I knew what was coming the moment Fig said she had already hired a replacement, and rolled my eyes SO HARD when pornstache got out of his car.

Ugh. I mean, not that that ruins the otherwise great season so far, but that was a tragically awful choice.

Fig fucking up is a major theme of this season.

You just know with the way this show swerves left when you expect right, we're gonna get a flashback and it turns out she went on a mall shooting rampage or something.

I've been avoiding this thread, assuming that everyone was done with season 2 and that it'd be spoiler city in here. Nice to see that's not the case.

We finished it last night and holy shit you guys, it's so good. So good. I love this show.

I just finished season 2 last night and yeah, yeah that was a good season.

Kind of the downside of the Netflix format is that we don't have a pace everyone keeps by so there's no common grounds until we've all finished the season.

Maybe I've watched too much Game of Thrones but when Caputo was doing his preemptive victory lap I was sure something terrible was about to happen, like there was no way that was actually gonna happen.

Of course everything immediately goes wrong, but it did so in kind of an awesome way so that's okay.

The one that got me was
I had a thing going with my manager at Long John Silver's. Then I found out he had a wicked hot wife.

    So that was nice.

The fact that her last sentence was sincere makes those three sentences one of the finest monologues I've heard, like, ever.

Season 2 of Orange is the New Black
had one of the most satisfying finales of any show.

I'm almost done with Season 2 of Derek.

I love this show so much.

Did you get to the part where (episode... 11-ish?)
he goes full MRA at Pennsatucky, with a sprinkling of The Gay Agenda?

    Because man, what a riot.

I love love love that Ronnie Pearlman from The Wire is Healy's therapist

Maybe it's just me projecting her old character onto this new one but she seems like she's constantly thinking "this fucking guy"

See now what they did with Morello is easily my favorite thing from this season and that might have been my favorite episode. Super sad, sure, but gat dang if you want to add a third dimension to a character in one episode or less that is how it is done.
