In other news, got my roommate into the series and have been doing multiplayer hunts with him. Kinda revitalized my desire to hunt more monsters. Had gotten into that point where I'd put the game down long enough that it was easier to keep playing other games instead. Switching over to trying Hunting Horns may have also had something to do with it. Smashing monster face in and playing the songs of my people is pretty fun.

A new coworker had it, stopped playing it, and picked it up again. They never got very far the first time, I think I've heard, so this is all pretty much new to them. This is awesome.
OK sharp+1 set is go. Although I look like a homeless clown. Also put in perception and evade+1. Currently trying to bring down the plesioth and would like to say I hope whoever thought bringing water battles to the 3DS was a good idea was fired. Absolutely abysmal and makes me dread those fights.
It's also one of the most practical collector's editions I've ever seen. Statue and pin are pure vanity, but the rest of the stuff I can think of good uses for.
A.Lagi down on the first run. Me and a buddy obliterated him.
Also got a dynamo.
Edit: I'm going to be running him for awhile to make his armor and upgrade a few of his weapon paths. I got this out of Athena's and it'll work with the edgemaster charm I have so I am just going to make this. If I ever get a better edgemaster charm I can switch it up but this is still pretty good even if I never charm farm again.

It needs one weapon slot to fully gem out crit eye -1 but even that's not the biggest deal.
Edit 2: I just realized that if you move to Torso up pants with this set then you can replace the need for the edgemaster charm. That opens up a lot more skill build options with both the head and charm free. You also don't need the weapon slot with that version and only lose Current Res (lo) which is really not a loss anyway.

Argh... Monster Hunter is one of those "I'd really like to download this because I want it available at all times" kind of games. But, I really want that CE!

Besides, this has to be one of the least expensive collector's editions I've seen in a while. Probably shouldn't expect too much from that statue.
Finished off the green plesioth last night and it once again affirmed my hate for water battles. I am still making progress through g-rank but it is slow. Why did they lock all of the best gear behind multiplayer? Oh well going to power through.

well considering the 3ds version has online, wiiu version doesn't seem as necessary
I have both the 3DS and Wii U versions and I find the Wii U preferable. It may not be next gen gorgeous but it does look quite nice and runs very smoothly, I'd like to play 4 like that as well.
Has anyone successfully preordered the Collector's Edition from Gamestop? I just tried my local store and they couldn't find it. So I ordered it from Amazon.
EDIT: Friend who works there tells me it's online only. If that came from GS that's a poor decision, but if it came from Capcom for numbers reasons I guess it's almost ok? Some of like to support our local stores, guys.
Please learn what attacks trip and mess with your fellow players and try, at least some, to not get right up on other players. Especially when fighting Jhen as the guy is the size of a skyscraper and there is no reason you have to keep running right next to me to unleash your tripping combo of annoyance.
Crap happens, we get that, but try to have some level of situational awareness.

Edit: On the banner thing my guess is someone at the printing shop messed up and printed the mh4u banner on the wrong banner stock.
