I have yet to get the 'power increasing faster than the difficulty' ball rolling with the Merc on Monsoon, my tactic has been to farm the first level and pray for a clover and leeching seed
those two make things SO MUCH EASIER like damn
There's a secret level that sometimes appears in the top-left corner of the snow level. It spawns endless pigs

...Can someone give me advice on what to do against the Archer Bugs in the temple? (I'm playing as the Commando) They just completely destroy me, even if I feel like my build is solid. I just can't kite 'em.
Yeah, this game is pretty sweet. I'm just really bad at it. I can't remember which enemies you're talking about.

I just got this. Controls are difficult to adjust to. Using 360 controller. I seem to have lag or something because if I try go jump as I get to the end of a platform it never works. I just fall. Is this normal?

using a controller seems to frequently cause problems, it used to make my game run at two-thirds speed
having never played it at full speed at that point I thought it was... pretty easy..
so yeah, give it a shot sans controller and see if it responds better

Man, if anyone ever wants to play with me, just steam message me, and we should get it set up.
There seems to be a lot of bugs with the maps now, especially (but not only) around the artifact areas. I've repeatedly ended up warped off screen and had to blindly jump over things to make it back on screen, or one time it took me to a completely different map with a bunch of immobile mobs, where I was stuck in place too. Few times I've popped inside the ground/walls unable to get out as well.
I never ever had any kind of problem like that before.
I picked up Risk of Rain 2 on the Steam Sale recently and am in love with the game. Does anyone here still play?
Right now my regular gaming group is running mods to allow up to 16 players, and we usually have 5-7 folks in our group. Eastern starting around 9:30-10:00 pm.

I've been trying for the "complete the game with all artifacts" achievement. Itis rough.
makes for great starts! then you start getting swarmed and there's no time to pick the items you want
